We've been here twice now and there will not be a third time. The First time the more mature member of staff was openly complaining about other customers leaving a mess from muddy boots outside, very unprofessional. I found the staff to be unfriendly and robotic. The ice cream was nice. The second time we visited we got some pre packed sandwiches, coffees, and brownies, for 3 people. The size of a regular coffee is a joke to be honest - and was excused by saying "it's only one shot". 2 of the 3 sandwiches went out of date that day and we didn't realise until we got to the other end of the beach. The brownies were mega sickly, none of us could finish them. They were also scrunched into a paper bag and were a mushed mess. It cost just under 30 pounds for 2 drinks, 3 sandwiches and 3 pieces of brownie... for a tad more we could have had a pub lunch and service with a smile. Again, on the second visit, I found the staff to be frosty and unfriendly, not a smile between them. Next time we visit this beautiful place, we will either call into Staithes for lunch, or take a picnic.

Super little cafe at the beachside in Runswick. Fantastic selection of cakes and ice cream. Great views of the bay and surrounding headlands. Parking and toilets very close by. Also on Cleveland Way coastal path. At bottom of big bank which you'll need to get back up later 🤪 but there are 3 benches spread out to help you rest and a handrail all the way up.

Nice little cafe on the beach, serving a range of sandwiches, cakes, drinks and ice cream. We enjoyed what we had - bacon sandwiches, coffee and cake. Nice friendly staff, it was busy for February, can imagine how busy it gets in summer! Dogs welcome outside only, but there was a water bowl for them.

The Runswick Cafe resurrected! Great to see this open again, under new ownership. It isn't the old cafe business - that closed down. This new business has slimmed down food options right now: pre-made sandwiches, breakfast baps pre- 11am, cakes and a lovely range of ice creams. The usual coffe, tea and hot chocolate. Yes, they presently use disposable cups, but we were glad to see it open again. The barista was cheery and gave great service. The view is fabulous. There's a public toilet block nearby. No dogs allowed inside the cafe, sadly. It can't be easy to run a small business along this stretch of coast so fair play to those who took it over, refurbished inside, and brought...

We were looking forward to coffee and cakes at this cafe overlooking the sea. The cafe states that it is open until 4.00pm so one would assume thar the full facilities of the cafe would be offered until that time. We were very disappointed to be told just after 3.00pm that they had stopped serving hot drinks at 3.00pm. The staff cleared up the tables and chairs around us to make sure that they could leave at 4.00pm. It was not the service or the experience that we had expected. The location is wonderful but the experience in the cafe was...
