Waterfields — Restaurant in England

I’ve visited this place for years. The pasties were getting colder and colder. I don’t know what they’ve done to the pastry, but it’s dry and tasteless! It used to be flaky and flavourful. The filling seemed to be dry powdery potato with no hint of cheese! Just awful! It was at a premium price too. I thought maybe, the pasty was like that because it was cold, but I’ve since bought one which came straight out of the oven and it was still dry and difficult to swallow! I’ve had exactly the same experience at the waterfields in Fearnhead. What has happened to their baking skills!! They’ve gone down in my estimation and I’ll never pay that kind of price for substandard food again. I wouldn’t mind paying that price for a decent tasting pasty, but THAT, they’re NOT.
