Welcome 2 Staithes — Restaurant in England

Appalling! Visited Staithes with my family and children on a hot day, and, as you do, we went to purchase ice creams. Upon entering the cafe, we were not greeted, and waited at the counter to be served. The woman behind the till did not even look at us, and just continued to ignore us. We were patient with her for 10minutes, but after the woman's daughter entered and took up post behind the till, we still were not served or given the opportunity to order. So extremely rude! I do not reccomend this, but, I can vouch for The Cobbles parlour just...

Awful. Such a shame as it's in a great location but unfortunately the service was terrible. We actually waited 15+ minutes for 3 coffees and a tea to takeout and they were stone cold when we were given them. It's as if the server forgot to switch the kettle on and waited and just poured cold water in a cup. Sorry but we had to tell them and put one in the microwave and got refunds on the other 3 as we couldn't waste any more time waiting here. Just need a bit more positive attention or...

This cafe was on google maps as permanently closed but as we were there yesterday 14/9/25, i have edited this. This cafe could be a gold mine as its in a beautiful area full of tourists. Unfortunately the young lady behind the counter just looked like she couldn't really be bothered, so they definitely need to work on more of a welcome or maybe just a smile. It's not the only cafe in the area, so I think putting in the extra effort...
