Wellington Farm Cockermouth — Restaurant in England

We absolutely loved our visit to this farmhouse café! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing full of flavour and beautifully presented and the drinks were just as good.

What really made our visit special was how dog-friendly this place is. We have quite a big dog who’s our biggest baby, and a lot of places aren’t always great with him. But here, the staff went above and beyond they came over to say hello, gave him a little fuss, told us how lovely he was, and just made such an effort to make him feel welcome. They were so kind and genuine, and it honestly meant so much to us.

Lovely place for a hearty meal or a quick snack and pot of tea. We have been multiple times as a couple and with family and friends and have never been disappointed. I’d give 5 stars across the board apart from the Atmosphere rating of 4, due to the uncomfortable wooden chairs, we seem to shuffle about a bit when seated for a long period, chair upgrades or cushions would help a great deal, that said, it’s a great place to eat and chat although, when full it’s very noisy. Our most recent visit got us the Afternoon Tea and it was fantastic, too much to handle with plenty of cakes, savouries and sandwiches, they offer you box’s to take home anything you can’t manage, which seen us take 2 box’s...

Went to celebrate birthday for sunday lunch on 7 September with group of 9 diners. We booked on previous thursday ordering in advance each persons meal. Arrived punctually at 12:30. It took then 20 minutes to prepare table and take drinks order. Main course arrived at 13:10. They took dessert order at 13:45 Dessert choice consisted of ice cream or shop bought cakes. At 14:00 the waitress ordered us to leave because the tablet was booked for 14:00. We had intended to open the presents at that point but instead stood in the rain outside to say our farewells and took the presents home. A LOUSY EXPERIENCE...
