Booked in advanced for a mothers day meal for 11 of us, when ordering we was told they haven't got enough roast potatoes for us all. I then decided to go for salmon steak but they had no salmon, no camembert cheese for one of the starters we choose. Usually you should take priority for bookings. The women that was taking our order was not very helpful, one of the meals came out cold, when we asked for it to be microwaved she just said "really" also said "we cant help it if we have no roast potatoes, we don't know who's going to walk in the door" I ended up having the fish and chips which was very nice and the band that they had playing were fantastic. Wouldn't recommend this place.Found landlady very rude and unwelcoming. Staff looked miserable and not even a hello or good afternoon from any of them when we entered. Called in on the off chance to have a Sunday lunch as local to us. Chef and bar staff said it wasn't a problem so we bought drinks at sat down. Then heard the landlady having a go at the chef. The chef then came out to us and said sorry we have not enough food to give you!....not even the offer of anything except drinks though the place was practically empty near 1pm. I would recommend the Sun Inn near Charminster Dorchester. We drove straight there, got a warm welcome and excellent carvery straight away though the place...

We came here for food. Staff friendly and welcoming. We sat and didn't realise woman near us was Landlady as didn't say hello. We both ordered pie and chips. The landlady got up and put just pair blue gloves on, no apron and cooked food which sounded as if being done in microwave and speed came out. Very few meal options. We saw staff and landlady stroke pub dog and didn't wash hands, landlady picked up bone dog was chewing took in kitchen and filled with something and come back out. There wasn't really an atmosphere. We wouldn't use again and think...
