Don’t book large tables or parties here. The manager can’t handle it. We only had a table of 7 and two of the girls were 10 mins late to which we got told “I’ll be back in 30 seconds to take your order” after being very rude to us. I’ve read other reviews about large parties who he’s rude to and clearly can’t handle so for special celebrations work parties go elsewhere!!!
RUDE MAN TERRIBLE DESSERT We went for dinner tonight for our friends 30th birthday and I have never experienced a Ruder man in my life. Two of our friends were stuck in temporary traffic lights and were running late.. the man (I wish I got his name) seemed like main manager potential owner rushed us to do our order and was visibly annoyed after we had apologised. They missed my drinks order. & we had to ask for more glasses for our water. A few of the girls ordered the brownie for dessert which was extremely dry and they left half of it. We paid for the brownies but opted not to pay the service charge due to the man’s rude behaviour at the beginning. At the end of the meal he then began a full argument with myself in the middle of the restaurant. Clearly feeling that because he is a man he can intimidate us instead he utterly embarrassed himself. After asking for feedback he wasn’t at all happy and stated “ we sell hundreds of brownies and never had a complaint”. He then asked if we will dine here again when we said no he said fantastic. No one deserves to be spoken to like this and on our way out we thanked the chefs for dinner. Please don’t give them man any time of day. Avoid at all costs completely ruined a special birthday...
Read moreI consider the landlord's behaviour, regards customer service, to be rather abysmal, particularly after his daughter asked us what we thought of our experience. Upon being asked, we reported to Jeremy's daughter dissatisfaction towards feeling rushed out. Okay, so it was the end of the day, and they were clock watching, but we didn't consider a 5 minute warning, extended to only 6 when asked for 10 minutes, to afford us enough time to drink the 3/4 pint remaining in each of our two pints. We were given only 5 minutes warning ahead of doors closing, and only given a minute's grace thereafter when we asked for some extra time, which seemed unusual, with consideration to most other bars. One of us reported our annoyance around this to the landlords daugher, when asked, who appeared to take umbridge, in response to which the landlord himself, Jeremy, confronted us, who, it appears, was under the impression that his daughter was somehow assaulted by our exclamation of dissatisfaction. Jeremy didn't ask any further questions around our customer experience, and quite simply verbally attacked us, pointing his finger in one of our faces in rather a lovely manner. Terrible customer service when faced with challenges. Some of his loud conversation with others in the garden was also rather questionable, Jeremy, it seems, doesn't appear...

We ate as a party of 4, my wife and her friend ordered the same main however both turned up incorrect, when we raised the issue the chap serving us (believe him to be the owner) told us that was the food we had ordered (which is wasn't) It then all got a bit awkward from there as he wouldn't accept that they had made a mistake and kept insisting we had ordered this incorrect food. After this he did offer to swap both mains but even at this stage was quick to add 'but this is what you ordered', I think for me this was the most frustrating bit, even when trying to solve the issue he couldn't do so without blaming us for the error. By this point my wife was a bit upset and didn't want any further fuss so she kept her incorrect main however her friend couldn't eat the incorrect food due to her dietry requirements. When she did finally get the meal ordered (Greek Salad) it was missing the Feta cheese, we didn't raise this last point as by then we had had enough of the whole thing.
All in all an unpleasant experience, the guy made a mistake (which happens so no problem there) but rather than just deal with it in a proffesional manner he continued to blame the customer and make us feel awkward.
