Had an overnight stop on a Saturday with 3 friends. Staff all very welcoming and friendly. Rooms were lovely, clean and bed was comfy.

We ate in the pub and the food was excellent. The fish and chips portions were huge and the two friends who had it said it was as good as it looked! The chicken parmo was very good and toasted off under the grill so the cheese was like Welsh Rarebit - Yum!! Also some nice Vegetarian choices and the Veggie in our group was very happy.

Breakfast was also lovely, and the Lady looking after us was really friendly and helpful. Not always the case at 8.30 on a Sunday morning!

A couple of things to be aware of; the car park is sloping and surfaced with chippings not tarmac, so if you're on a motorbike (we all were), be careful when parking!

Also, there is a busy campsite next to the pub and people were coming in for the great food and drinks, so if you visit in the main holiday season, best to book for food!

A lovely, friendly, well-run pub. We'll...

I was camping round the corner with my wife and some friends and thought it would be nice to put the barbecue away for an evening and try a local pub. I was not disappointed!

An absolutely charming place with modern/rustic decor. The menu is not massive but has a nice selection to suit everyone. I had the steak and ale pie which was so delicious I nearly fell out of my chair, the chips were to die for and they were proper chippy type chips which definitely made me a happy camper. The portion sizes were generous, so much so that we had to leave some of the delicious onion rings that we both got as sides, I think maybe next time we will just order one portion 😂. Speaking of next time there will definitely be one 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Oh and it's also a dog friendly pub as well which got the seal of approval from our...

We stayed a few minutes away from the Wilson Arms and had an evening meal on our first night. It's only quite small and a group had just placed their order so we were told there would be a delay with our food. I wouldn't call it a delay, it was a much shorter wait than many other places we have been to! The food itself was beautifully cooked (homemade chips too!), with large portions. The prices are incredibly reasonable for what you get. We opted for a takeaway Sunday lunch too - the meats were tasty and tender, and again, plenty of veg and homemade Yorkshire puddings. If we are in the area again, the Wilson Arms is a definite on our list!...

Had a fantastic stay, firstly the welcome was friendly and the interior was so warm and cosy. The room looked recently decorated and had a really nice en suite bathroom that was heated. We went down to eat and the dinning room was buzzing with people who came to eat. We couldn't eat all as the portions where big, again staff where really friendly. Beds so comfortable and a peaceful night. Breakfast was included and we had a full English breakfast which was lovely , Yorkshire tea! . Would definitely recommend to stay , was very close to Whitby which is a must to visit.

Stopped here for an anniversary meal while staying in the village and was pleasantly surprised how lovely this pub was. Nice and modern inside but in keeping with the traditional style. Very clean and attentive service, we had 2 courses and both were very tasty, good Porton, we didn't need the huge side of onions we had ordered. Variations of Parmo on the menu too which was interesting to try for the 1st time. Good selection of alcohol and good prices. Very nice bathrooms too.
