Luna Coffee — Restaurant in Epsom and Ewell

For a small Coffee House this really did exceed our expectations. The Full English breakfast was absolutely delicious - the sausages and bacon were superb. The Chef goes to the market most days and sources the meat produce fresh and it really does show. The marinated tomatoes were the best I have tasted and would gladly eat a plate of these on their own.The pancakes were superb and the portions - Large. My husband knows most of the cafe's in Surrey (his job is on the road) and he says this is about the best you can get. They also make their own cakes which are a real delight; I can also recommend the Lasagne and the Pollo Milanese. The café is clean and bright and very welcoming. Have not yet tied it but they also do Sunday Lunch(£7.95 as at Feb 2014), if what we have eaten here so far is anything to go by it will be a treat. Highly recommend Luna Coffee. Wrong hours of operation on a Saturday. Drove 40 minutes to try what seemed to be a highly rated coffee shop. After the drive, and difficult parking situation along an incredibly busy street, we find out that it's not in fact open as the opening hours suggest here. Wasted time and effort to try this cafe, only to find their own opening hours contradict what their front door says. I cannot give a higher rating to an establishment if they are not able to provide accurate opening hours to allow the public to try their food and service. I have used Luna's many times over the last three years and have always felt well fed and well served. The menu is surprisingly varied for a small cafe and the food is reasonably priced, superb in quality and generous in proportion. There are always a number of interesting items on the specials board.The owner is delightful.
