Update Feb 2022 First time back since lockdown 2020, due to my wife's vulnerable health. The only thing that has changed is the menu, just the same value as before and staff are just as layed back and freindly. My wife and myself visited the Rutland cottage lunchtime midweek. As we were early so the place was quiet. My wife had the chili and I had the steak & ale pie, the chili was pronounced as very good, the pie was nothing special, just run of the mill pub food. Portions were not large but at £10 for two you don't expect too much. Been for a birthday meal for 24 of us and the service and food was incredible. To account for all of us with the standard and delicious food so we were all able to eat together was top notch.
