Stef's Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Fermanagh and Omagh District

This place is a joke, they open whenever they want. The hours advertised are pointless. The food can be very hit & miss, chips can be very greasy & undercooked, or sometimes overcooked & way too crunchy that they'd break your teeth.

Staff can be quite rude too, for instance they gave me an extra jumbo chip that I didn't order, and I didn't realise till I got home. I got my wife to ring back & they tried to say I ordered 3 jumbo chips, not 2. But I am 100% sure I ordered 2, and my wife heard me order them too. They basically weren't gonna do anything about it, so I rang them back myself & told they I'm sure I ordered 2 jumbo chips, as there was only 2 of us eating. They then said for me to bring the extra chips back, I said I'm not driving back in to give you something I didn't ask for, I live 6 miles away, so I said ok then send your delivery driver to collect them, then she said we will sort you out the next time by giving us the price of a jumbo chips off our order.

They really have no manners with dealing with customers. They forgot a portion of goujons I ordered via their delivery before & I could have asked for them to be re-delivered but didn't to save them having to drive to my house again, but when they messed up they wanted me to drive back to them, that's a really stinking attitude.

And the prices are ridiculous too, you could eat in a restaurant for close to...

We travelled out of town due to the reviews - we thought we’d give this place a shot and well, it did not disappoint 😋 firstly impressed to see all working ladies here, very welcoming to customers and felt at ease. The girl behind the counter (short, blonde, glasses knew her stuff 👏 was well able to handle all customers while delegating, getting orders packed up and runners heading to tables - well done 👏 as a ex restaurant manager she was excellent). Secondly the food is truly beautiful. Portions are a good size, my partner got fish and chips (she would prefer smoked cod 🤣) but the fish was actually so good. Myself, I got a battered fried chicken fillet burger. Couldn’t even finish it. Very filling. Even the packaging I was impressed by. The owner obviously puts thought and love into their business and it shows. Place was spotless. Plenty of free parking around. I highly recommend this restaurant, we took it away to eat at the castle but it was SOOOOO good. We would not hesitate to eat here again when...

Was on way home from shopping and wanted something quick and handy to eat, so decided to stop for chips. Ordered takeaway chips, now there's a few in front of me but sure it's only a chip right! 26mins later it's ready, asked for salt and vinegar and was told rudely "there's stuff over there do it yourself!!!" ( salt and vinegar sachets) The gentleman just before me must have been a VIP because they asked him very nicely did he want salt and vinegar on his chips!!!! I've heard the expression, cheap as chips but 4.75 for a tiny portion that wouldn't fill a bird. Now I will say the chips weren't bad but the whole experience of it all left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe a little bit of training the front of house staff some manners...
