Daughter is gluten free, they seemed happy to accommodate this. However, when asking if I could swap items on breakfast, a simple “no, sorry we can’t do that” would have sufficed, but I got an answer that was a bit abrupt and as though I felt they thought I had a cheek asking. Anyway, on that note I went for fish and chips, which I must say was very nice.

The re-vamped restaurant at Dungeness now has excellent views over the railway line and the shingle. Food reasonably priced. Toilets clean and adequate. Dungeness lighthouse is virtually next door, if you fancy the leg-aching climb to the top! The views are worth the effort...

Decent little cafe with a nice menu with a good amount of options. We only stopped for some coffee and some cakes and this place was perfect for that. There's no WiFi available, toilets are clean, and you can watch the steam train

Saw the negative reviews on this cafe but still thought we’d give it a go- safe to say that was an instant regret! When ordering, it was clear the staff were inexperienced and had low/no customer service skills. The chef was extremely rude and when asking if we could swap an item on the breakfast, they continuously shouted “no! order from the menu”. The cutlery was filthy and we had to scramble through a box of knives to find one that was remotely “clean”. The food was then stone cold and one of the meals we ordered also come out wrong. I have never written a review before, but felt it was necessary due to the complete lack of effort from the staff! The venue is beautiful and being able to watch the trains go past definitely gives the place potential, however the staff and quality of the food is what...

Lovely little restaurant at Dungeness station. Lots of seating areas inside and out. Nice menu. For those complaining it’s ‘too expensive’ they have introduced specials at very reasonable prices. However, you are a bit of a captive audience as there are little other options around given its remote location. Would have been five stars, but like some have already mentioned, the coffee taste terrible and it’s not worth the price charged in my opinion. Also, again because of location, chip and PIN machine regularly fails to connect. This causes long queues, congestion. and some have to leave without ordering due to having to catch the train! Something for the management to look into. Other than that,...

The End of the Line Restaurant is a nice little cafe at the Dungeness station of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.

It’s right next to the old Dungeness Lighthouse so it’s the perfect place to stop for a quick bite to eat (cakes and sandwiches etc) and a tea / coffee / hot chocolate.

We’ve previously come up on the train, gone up the light house and then stopped for some food whilst we wait for the return train.

The food was good and the staff were friendly.

The place is clean and tidy, has toilets and the usual facilities. Wheelchair access etc but beware of the gravel / shingle car park as they can be difficult to navigate with wheelchairs or...
