Erols Sandwich Bar — Restaurant in Forest of Dean

We stopped in Newent in the middle of a long drive, to try and find some lunch, and we're lucky enough to discover Errol's Courtyard cafe. It was perfect for our family - kid's foodbox, sausage sandwich for the growing lad, panini for Dad, and chips and salad for me. Good coffee, friendly staff, everyone was welcoming to children, and amazingly cheap if you're used to Oxford city centre prices. We will definitely stop here again (and there's even a board game museum next door to investigate while you wait...

Food used to be ok but since handed over definitely changed. I had a jacket potato with tuna mayo today to takeaway. Potato now microwaved instead of baked, not one it of margarine or butter and hardly any mayo. It was a decent portion for the price of £4.50 but hardly ate any as totally disappointed in the taste!...

Always a warm welcome from lovely staff! Food is so much cheaper than everywhere else, they aren’t trying to rip you off like most places. Great atmosphere and awesome breakfast, try the milkshakes. Coffee is great too.....
