Found this place on Google when looking for a local coffee place near Winlaton that we can have a little walk to (love Pumphrey's but not for sitting in). Been a few times now. Coffee and sweet treats are great and enjoy the walk there and back from Winlaton. Weirdly was told ice coffees don't get a loyalty stamp on my third visit as they're a cold drink... Got them the first 2 times and they're the same ingredients and price so.... And never found a coffee shop that's said that before (I don't drink hot drinks). Had the breakfast once. Wait was looooong but in good company so don't mind too much. Canny breakfast. I wouldn't travel out of my way for it but no conplaints quality-wise. Feel £14 is a bit steep though. I'll probably avoid the breakfasts in the future but keep coming back for coffee and scone/cake. I'll give some of the other food a go at some point too. Hopefully the loyalty stamp refusal was a one-off patter chatter. 🤞 It only takes 4 stamps (with reusable cup) at Costa for same price coffees to get a free one, and 8 stamps at Pumphrey's (their coffees are cheaper). Both doing stamps on iced coffees. 10 stamps here and only getting them on my wife's drinks is a bit meh. But they don't have to do loyalty stamps at all so... 🤷 I prefer to spend my money locally but times are also hard so need to try and save pennies where possible. Especially when treating myself 😅

Didn't try the food so cannot comment. Expensive for average coffee £3.50. Would happily have paid this if service and atmosphere had been a little better. Half way through our coffee meeting we vacated the table due to very loud neighbours. We couldn't hear ourselves think. Moving outside onto the balcony all seats were wet after a recent downpoor. Not their fault but a gent came out to dry everything and so we waited for dry chairs. He appeared diagruntled with us for no apparent reason. We were able to finish our coffee meet. I would go here again but only to sit outside. Inside is too cramped and you're sat on each other. On a different day it could have been a lot better.

After supporting this place and bringing other customers through word of mouth It’s actually a smack in the face to wait 40MINUTES to be given the worst breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The wait was crazy considering it wasn’t even busy. No butter on the bread, how tight can you be? Small over cooked egg, bacon was horrid quality, grey and very fatty. It’s quite clear as a business they just don’t care any more and are cutting corners in any way they can yet charging more. My review 2 years ago shows how downhill it’s went, someone needs to get a grip other wise I can see the doors closing for good.

Came in with my little chihuahua, he was allowed to sit on me knee the entire time. Lots of places say dog friendly but as soon as I sit him on my knee they say oh no dogs stay on the floor, not really friendly more tolerable id say. Anyway, they were completely happy with him sitting on my knee. I ordered the chicken burger and chips special. Lovely, the chicken was freshly breadcrumbed and cooked, basically made from scratch. It was served with fries which id have prefered home made chips BUT fries were fine they were cooked nicely not overdone. For a chicken burger and chips with a can of fanta it was 8.20 cheap as chips. My mam got the halloumi salad, she is the pickiest person ever and she thoroughly enjoyed it. We will...
