McDonald's — Restaurant in Gateshead

Just visited this mcdonalds.. Kept me waiting at the voice box for over 5 minutes with no response. Another car pulls in to the other voice box and gets served straight away. I pull round to the first window and again, kept me waiting for around 4 minutes before someone eventually came. Ordered 2 Spanish stack meals and a big mac meal and what I got was 2 Spanish Fiesta burgers with patties instead of the chicken and only 1 pattie in each burger! The stack is meant to have 2 patties. Like how can you get 2 of the new meals mixed up that bad. The Spanish stack which I ordered 2 of came with chilli and paprika topped buns instead of the sesame and paprika flavoured buns and both only came with 1 beef pattie each. 1 of the buns was burnt and tasted awful. To top it all off, after we had ordered our food we were kept waiting for 15 minutes. Surely being kept waiting that long would mean freshly cooked meals? Nope. The burgers were just warm and the fries might aswell have been in the freezer. Not to mention the staff moping around with miserable faces on and in no rush at all. When we first pulled up there was not 1 car in the drive through. By the time we were at the last window waiting for our food there was 7 customers waiting behind us at 00:15. Every single time we visit this mcdonalds, there are always problems with our orders and very long waiting times. Never this bad of an experience though. I'd recommend going to the metro centre mcdonalds. Get everything right, hot food, friendlier staff and don't have to wait so long to be served....

Truly dreadful service, we used the drive through and they completely lost control of everything. 1st it was slow moving to even order but we used the app to speed up the process, got to the machine and gave our code. We ordered 1 large coke, 1 large lemonade, 1 standard cheeseburger and a nuggets happy meal for our son. An order that I didn't think would be a stretch for McDonald's. They gave us the drinks at the window but asked us to go and park in the car park next door to wait for the burger and happy meal. There was a couple of blokes fighting over the order bays who had blocked the exit to the drive through. This was something that no one seemed to notice even after the drive through just ground to a complete halt. We sat in the jam for 30 mins before an order came out and the employee got involved. In total we waited for over an hour and when the food came it was stone cold showing it had been sat on a shelf somewhere the whole time. I've long been getting sick with McDonald's, the food quality hasn't kept up with other places, the prices have been creeping for a while now meaning they aren't even cheap anymore and now they can't even turn around a single cheeseburger with no changes quickly I think I'm done with them. Il remember the fun kids parties I went to in the 80s and 90s but they have been rubbish...

Ordered from here today for delivery via Uber Eats. Total shambles from start to finish. We live in Birtley which is 3.3 miles from the store but for some reason it was dispatched with a push bike courier, I accept is not the restaurant’s responsibility or the fact that when the poor courier did arrive about 25 mins later with one of the drinks burst covering all the food and the bottoms dropping out the packing bags. Two of the items were missing. So my daughter and her partner went to the restaurant to get the missing items to be told by a member of staff and a manger it’s not there fault and to take it up with Uber Eats in what my daughter told me was in a rude and abrupt manner. Like I said I can’t blame the restaurant for the delivery method or damage that occurred on route. But I don’t see how they can pass the responsibility of them not being capable of reading and packing the correct items into a bag onto Uber eats I have never seen the courier drivers assembling the orders! But then when being asked to correct this they were just rude and un helpfull. All I can say if you are thinking of ordering from this particular restaurant good Luke getting what you want because if not you will up a nasty creek with out a paddle if you expect them to be helpful and correct...
