Watergate Cafe is welcoming, friendly and open to everyone, including kids, dog walkers and their precious pooches (my Cav and Lab have always been warmly welcomed). It is a very relaxed environment and an affordable place to grab a bite / cuppa but offers more than that with regular activities organised for toddlers, children, Mums, runners, crafters etc. The scope of activities during summer holidays are especially broad ranging for kids and their really is something for everyone - worth checking out on Facebook to see what they have coming up (the gin tasting night was excellent and lampshade making classes were excellent). I think the cafe is exactly what Watergate Park was missing and can't believe what an important community hub it has become in such a short space of time. I look forward to seeing how it grows and what events will be organised :) Only improvement would be to see GF options...
Read moreI have NO idea where the bad reviews below came from in terms of dog friendliness!! They have a dog social on a Sunday afternoon (which I plan to go to next week), sofas that dogs are allowed on, a dog shop with treats and essentials, you can borrow a ball and they have free dog poo bags and not to mention the staff were amazing with Moose! Read moreThe staff member looked me up and down the second I walked in with my dogs- don't let the signs fool you- they are NOT dog friendly. She spoke to me with an awful attitude for no reason- looking at my dogs in disgust. The place is tiny, all crammed together and very very unwelcoming!
