My partner and I have been customers of this restaurant for the past 10 years. We have visited the restaurant at least two to three times a month, this should rate us a good and loyal customers. We also supported them during the pandemic. On our last visit we were seated in the middle of the room in full view of the other customers. The waitress ( her first night by all accounts) dropped a bottle of water onto our wine glasses. The water bottle came at me with such speed that it shot our wine all over my silk shirt, onto my lap and continued into my shoes. The wine was even dripping out the left side of my hair! I gasped in shock which made the rest of the customers turn around and stare at me. I naturally had to leave the restaurant as I was soaked down to my underwear. The waitress said we didnât have to pay for the wine, and would we still like to order? As if! I told them they would have to pay for ,y dry cleaning bill. When my partner went to the restaurant today to present the dry cleaning bill to â Jackieâ the so called manager, she was totally disinterested. We had previously been offered vouchers from the assistant manager but â Jackieâ wasnât having any of It. Just how long do you have to visit business to be a valued customer, or how much money do to you have to spend? Pebbles is a classic example of being too busy to worry about keeping customers or good customer relations. I hope whoever owns the restaurant reads this and takes a strong view . Peter...
Read moreA fan of fresh local Seafood around the world I was excited that this restaurant was close to where we were staying. The photos on Google and on Instagram suggested a great connection with seasonality. You take a lovely walk down the seafront and can sit with views of local wind foilers. Now having seen exciting Lobster and Scallops on their gram in 2020 I was worried their menu seemed to have quite safe options I can get from my fishmonger 2 minutes from my house. When I asked the staff about this they seemed to have lost confidence in being able to sell items they feel they couldn't get a mark up on. These assumptions won't help to be honest as it's what's local and fresh that people want and I'm sure lots of data would support this. Nevertheless I ordered the fresh dressed crab which was lovely but as usual well priced. The dishes all look amazing just wish the variety was a bit braver. The dessert a créme brûlée flavoured ice-cream was ok, as was a raspberry chocolate sculpture but deserts are the icing on the cake. Hope to see Lobster back on the...
Read moreThe service was poor for ordering food and drinks, I wasn't offered a receipt for my purchase and when I asked I was told to ask the lady once my coffee had been made. There was some confusion over what I had ordered but it was resolved in the end, albeit not in the most polite way. The table and high chair were grubby so we had to clean them ourselves. The gentleman who served our food was very polite and friendly and the food came out very quickly. It was quite busy when we went in and some basic systems in place would have helped speed up the long queue that quickly built up around lunch time. Two tills and someone making hot drinks and another serving them would have made a huge difference I'm sure. The atmosphere was OK but I wouldn't rush back there as it wasn't very welcoming. If I had seen that queue I wouldn't...
