The best breakfast/brunch I've had in years! Very popular and rightly so, maybe not a hidden gem anymore, but stumbling across this place amongst roadside shops is what you least expect. We sat outside the front as had our 2 dogs with us, no issues at all with service because of this even though it was rammed inside. Wish I could remember the waitress' name as she made sure we were ok and took our order swiftly. We ordered a caramel latte, dirty vanilla chai latte, acai bowl, and full English breakfast. My husband loved his drink and food choice, and I absolutely loved mine. The dirty vanilla chai latte was the best I have ever tasted before, and the acai bowl was beautifully presented; every mouthful was like a party in my mouth with the flavours combined. Amazing work team at Cafe Lounge, keep up the good work, we will be back for sure in the future!

Friendly and welcoming staff, even when they see a sweaty cyclist!! They have couple of tables outside which is perfect for the morning sun. I didn’t check out the menu, only picked from what was showing behind the counter(my choice) The pastry was heated, freshly squeezed orange juice chilled with ice and nicely presented mocha coffee. All served by a smiling waitress. The interior looks fresh and inviting although I needed to stay outside to keep an eye on my bike. There is a lay-by for parking, just be mindful it can be busy to park as there are other shops besides the cafe lounge. The cost of the 3 items came to just over £9 I’d say this cafe is worth a visit 🥰

I drove about 25 mins to get to this highly recommended cafe, upon arrival the staff took their time to even acknowledge us at the door which already put me off but when we were eventually greeted, the staff were warm and friendly. The restaurant is on the smaller side but there was space for my friend and I with the pram. My friend ordered the pancakes. They weren’t light and fluffy unfortunately and she didn’t really enjoy it. The grilled chicken sandwich was ok it was tasty but nothing special, the french toast on the other hand was absolutely divine! I would drive 25 mins just for that. I also got the strawberry coconut protein shake which I enjoyed.

My review was removed probably because the manangeress had a hissy fit when I posted it with a 3 stars. Anyway, I saved it so I'll re post it again and instead with a 1 star since the manageress likes to lie on her responses to things and flag anything she dislikes to Google without real reason!

Very disappointed - Not sure if I'd go here again.

It was 1pm Sunday when we were seated. The waitress took our drinks orders shortly after and said she'd be back in a few moments to take our food orders. We didn't get our orders taken for food until 45 mins later. We had to signal 3 different waitresses but it appears only 1 waitress in the restaurant did the actual ordering..  quite odd! 45 mins later I approached a staff memebr asking when the food would arrive. She said 2 to 3 minutes. 15 mins later it still hadnt arrived. I approached the original waitress again. She told me it has been put through the machine wrong. Our sides arrived before any food 10 minutes after this and the actual brunch 20 minutes after the sides.

Cleanliness in the cafe was lacking in several places including sticky tables, not washed or dried properly cups having that off putting musty smell, etc. However, the atmosphere was nice, coffee was decent, food was actually tasty.

It's a shame the experience was tarnished by all the other issues.

Summary Positives • Ok atmosphere • Good coffee • The iced tea was tasty • Food was actually quite tasty - which is a shame as it was tarnished by the plethora of other issues.

Negatives • Unreasonably long wait times • Lots of errors • Wasted time, you'll be here for several hours waiting for the order to be completed. • Bizarre ordering system where only 1 waitress in the cafe can take orders • Cleanliness not great- glasses smelt damp, tables sticky • Test and trace inefficient and not monitored properly • No hand towels in bathroom to dry hands after washing them, beggars the questions how many people are actually cleaning their hands? • Completely ignored by waitress at times • Manageress not particularly friendly or apologetic...

Have visit here on numerous occasions with friends and family. Lovely clean cafe, extensive menu and excellent quality of food. Could be improved if we were allowed a little more time as you do feel rushed, a table of 3 people and only allowed 1hr 15 mins, by the time you order and eat it’s close to 45/50mins, so not really the place to go for a catch up with friends. Shame really as we would have ordered extra drinks.

New review since my last visit. Food is still as tasty as ever, but really don’t understand why their landline don’t work, constantly states the mailbox is full and no one seems interested in fixing this! As a business owner, I would think this is something that needs looking into asap! I have tried calling for 3 days. It’s appalling literally. Visited during half term, the service has gone downhill, but the reason for 2 star is the awful smell in the toilet. It is so bad. I had a table at the end and it is definitely a sewage issue, I have heard ppl say this but it has never affected me as I have been seated at the front. This time it put me off my food and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. We left quickly and went to Costa. The toilet needs addressing asap, it’s very bad...

Firstly the food was great. Could have been hotter. But quality wise it was bang on.

Waiting for a table was an issue, but shows how popular the place was. We waited 15-20 mins in the cramped entrance. We didn't book a table, so no real complaints.

My main gripe and it ruined the lovely food, was that the waiting staff were hovering to take plates. My partner finished her food before me and her plate was taken just as she finished her last mouthful.

I realise they want people in and out, but this made us feel very unwelcome. We were only sat down for 20 minutes. We were going to order an extra drink each after our food, but felt like we should leave due to the rushing.

A real shame after a real treat of a breakfast. £35 for two of us to have a breakfast and a drink is as much as you'd probably want to pay. If the customer service matched the food I'd make the trip to the Cafe...
