Ye Olde Leather Bottle — Restaurant in Gravesham

Food was nice but watch they dont rip you off. Me and my daughter just had 2 dishes from the £14 for 2 meal menu as advertised all over the place Monday to Friday and I had a pint of kronenbourg. With the 50% off that should have been £7 + the pint. Unless they're sell Kronenbourg for £7.75 per pint I was fiddled!

UPDATE.

So it turns out as per the reply below. That despite signs and menu everywhere says 2 meals for £14 they aren't honouring that during the fellow taxpayer subsidised Monday to Wednesday (there is no legal reason not to honour the deal). To add to the insult it's my fault they are falsely advertising and somehow doing that means "all staff find you rude". I'm rude by quietly paying the overcharge and leaving a review!? Odd probably illegal practise and certainly a far cry from customer service or accountability: private message the pub sent me here:

"From over 1000 people we cooked in the last 3 weeks your the only person saying this. But was advertise on our Facebook we ont have 2for14 in the same time. wanted us because you get 50off to reprint all the menus at extra cost, move all the boards indoors for 8 days in August and to give Free Food from £14 to £7, £3.50 per meal better will give you the keys to the kitchen and serve yourself and we pay gas electric and staff and everything because one person moan for £1.50 extra. You know something David Beattie I suggest you go and drink your Kronenbourg somewhere else because your not welcome in our pub as all staff find you rude and is no lost for us."

I would definately recommend drinking Kronenbourg "somewhere else". Somewhere trading standards wouldn't have a field day and somewhere you can buy Stella for less that an obscene...

Visited here on the 01-03-2023 to celebratory Lunch for My Mothers Birthday with family, as we were told that the food and atmosphere was good. How Wrong! my father is in a wheel chair and we was told that access to the bar had a Ramp, it was only when we arrived a 2 very kind Customers helped us in. when we asked the bar maid about the ramp she was uninterested.

The person taking the food order had for gotten to place one of our orders and when told blamed us, however it was clear that she had for gotten, which resulted in 2 people having to share one meal. we was also told that they could only do us certain food as the chief was busy. In all it was a very disappointing visit on aday that was special. this just may have been a bad day as i can see other reviews are positive but this was a our first visit and not a good one.

Quite shambolic was the theme of our visit. We booked a table here for mothers day to enjoy a carvery and a Dolly Parton tribute act. We had several families in our group and were each told we could eat the food and enjoy the show from the tables. Upon arrival we were seated and told we only had 2 hours at the table as they had booked another 32 people for these tables. Regardless the carvery was a solid 2 out of 5 stars, cold and dry, oh my god sooooo dry even covered in the slimey gravy they serve here. Needless to say i stuggled to even eat half of this dog's dinner.

This is a tiny pub, so immediate red flag, its profits over customers experience. So once we were turfed off the tables, we were expected to cram around a busy pool table with 30 other people shoulder to shoulder.

We were then told that the entertainment had been cancelled, it was clear the staff didnt really care that many were here for this entertainment.

Finally the prices....did this pub suddenly transport itself to central london, must be based on the obscene prices they charge here.

Personally id steer clear of this place, there are much better places a short walk towards town so why would you...
