Baydale Beck Inn — Restaurant in Great Britain

The food was rather nice however I have had nicer pub meals but honestly everything took so long, getting a drink took about 15 mins, I don't know how but they kept getting drinks wrong too, we basically all got the same. We got 4 deserts (all needing spoons) we got given 3, my 5 and 6 year old got given massive spoons to eat with too, my father in law asked for another so he could actually eat his desert with he waited for about 10 mins, maybe longer and decided to go find his own! With how long it took he could have just drank his ice cream it was that melted, not that they weren't already pretty melted when they came out. After just finishing it felt like we were getting pushed out the door by staff "Do you want your bill?" "Have you had your bill?" "Do you want to pay now?" "Have you paid your bill?" All within 5 mins of each other. Baydale Beck , food allways is good, nice and hot as well nicely presented, lots to choose from and they allways have a good specials board only one criticism the vegetables are sometimes slightly hard especially the carrots, but that seems to be the norm in restaurants these days, staff are friendly, a nice conservatory to have your meal in if the main area is full, got to book ahead otherwise you may not get in , drinks a bit on the pricy side, but all in all I would recommend anyone to eat here. Visited here tonight and was really disappointed with the menu choice and food quality. Quite a limited choice of dishes offered. Most of the same genre ie burgers and parmos. Menu has changed so previously enjoyed dishes such as belly pork no longer available. Waitress informed us that the Menu is changing again to things like wraps & Ribs ........ We attempted to order Pork tenderloin only to be told this had ran out so not available. Changed order to Chicken supreme & Sauce. When it finally arrived after a very long wait . Food was disappointing, no way was it a Chicken supreme it was a extremely small chicken breast with soggy skin with a tablespoon of sauce on top. The best part was the homemade chips.
