Forest Park Golf Club — Restaurant in Great Britain

This is a challenging, but very enjoyable 27 hole golf course made up of the main 18 hole course and a separate 9 hole course which was once part of the original 18, all 27 brilliantly maintained to the same high standard by the greenkeepers. Big fast greens (perhaps or definitely the best in the area in the peak season), some very tight fairways and plenty of trees and bunkers all add to the challenge, along with the river Foss which winds its way through the course. It's a flat course, but it's not easy.

It's a very friendly family-run golf club with a cracking club professional who is always happy to chat and offer help and advice whenever it's needed.

Forest Park has just celebrated it's 25th anniversary yet it's reputation deservedly continues to grow year on year and is very well regarded in the local area.

I was invited to a Wedding Anniversary Celebration. The hostess and myself phoned to inquire about a Gluten Free Meal .We were told it would be ok. I was served pork with a Yorkshire pudding and stuffing. Gluten Free cannot eat Yorkshire Pud or stuffing ,nor the pork because it was now contaminated. The veg that I could have eaten was touching other food not GF and was therefore contaminated ,ie with gravy or Ratatoulli,,roast potatoes. I was later asked ,was I a true Gluten Free because they had gravy. I would advise if anyone is GF not to eat here,, or for the chef and staff to become acquainted with GF foods. Coeliacs can be very ill as a result of eating food containing Gluten or contamination with gluten I got the impression that no one understood the GF concept. So please say NO we do NOT cater for...

Terrible experience. The moment I walked in, all I saw was grass. Call it a golf course? I call it a field. It's just grass and the occasional bump on a tiny field with one small pond. Pathetic. We come in wanting to play golf and they go we can't. Looked at our face and ethnicity and goes no, you haven't the attire. Only for the elitest or the white man. Place looks terrible and they spent all their money on food and facilities and not the course itself. Rubbish place would not recommend. The guy was inferring for us to get out as we were wearing casual clothes. One by one tells us what's wrong with us. Would rate zero stars if o could. If you just want to play golf then don't come here as they won't let you.full of stuck up snobs and elitests. Worst course I've ever seen. Nothing compared...
