Geordies Pizzeria — Restaurant in Great Britain

Ordered via Justeat.co.uk. Food was really late. When I called to ask about it, the first lass told me it had left 10 minutes ago and then hung up whilst I was talking. I rang back and spoke to manager who called me a liar (direct quote) and said my food "wasn't even due to arrive for a further 30 minutes" (it had already been 1 hour 30 mins at this point) and then she just repeated "Look, do you want your food or not?" in an aggressive tone over the top of me whilst I tried to reason with her. When I told her that the previous lass had said that it had already left the shop "10 minutes ago" (but 20 minutes had now passed since) and the food would probably be cold, she just repeated herself again, "Look, do you want your food or not?". I asked how I would be reimbursed if I rejected the food as I had paid by card on the internet and she helpfully responded once again with "Do you want your food or not?!". Bizarre. Anyway... The food arrived 10 minutes later (total waiting time 2 hours). It was somebody's else's order. The driver returned a few minutes later with our order and then took the other unfortunate person's food out of the bags/boxes outside on the street, in the cold to check that it was all there before getting back in the car and presumably dropping it off for what I imagine was another dissatisfied customer. I can understand why he wouldn't trust us not to eat the whole thing in the few minutes it took him to come back, by this point we were pretty hungry. Ours was cold by the way. And squashed....

Ordered our food at 19:07 on a Saturday night,now I appreciate that it’s Saturday and it’s busy but it’s now 21:25 & the food has still not arrived ! Jack who answered the phone told me at 20:30 that it had left 10 minutes previous………….rang again at 20:50 as food had still not arrived ! Jack said he would chase it up & ring me back ! At 21:05 I rang back as Jack had not bothered to ring & update me and spoke to Karen the manager who actually said the order had gone else where & so our order was been cooked as we spoke !!! The food eventually arrived at 21:30 just short or 2 & half hours since we ordered it !!! We had in our party a 12 year old who when the food did arrive was actually waiting to go to bed !!! Karen offered us free cake or pop ! Really !!! The service & customer service was well below what we expected & we won’t be using you again ! Wasn’t a small order either as it came to £32 ! If you got it wrong then just admit it & if you say you will chase it up & ring back then do it !!! Food arrived at 21:30 with no free pop or cake which as a good Will gesture even though I said no would have...

Well let me start with the positive points of this take away. I had fish, chips and mushy peas and my parents thought they were very good thankyou. I had the special kebab once again very good lots of meat and pleasant to eat 🙃👍

Now for the crutz of this review. As a very successful establishment why oh why would you have menus on the bar that as I was informed are old and not up to date price wise. I do not mean to sound clever or patronistic but how can you deliver such a great selection of foods at simply " wrong prices" and expect the customer to not say anything. Yes we all run businesses but i base mine on honesty. Old menus new prices on the till is not the way forward. Take away the old menus and inform the customers of the price increases or you are misleading your customers from first base. Yes an Individual did come in and rectify the scenario but once again no introduction to who he may be I guess a member of senior staff or ownership. Come on geordies you have been a great asset to the north east for many years why let yourself...
