Very impressed. A great place to visit and well worth supporting. Works with adults with learning difficulties. Has car park. Plant sales. Shop. Loos. Gifts. Books. Produce and café with homemade cakes. I had a vanilla milkshake and a ginger beer; soup of the day (vegetable) which came with a baguette and cheese. And a Yorkshire granary baguette with Skipton houmous, cucumber, spinach, beetroot falafel and Reet Yorkshire tomato chutney. Also a piece of homemade lemon drizzle cake. It was all super tasty. The café has outdoor seating and attractive grounds and there is additional seating upstairs. The plants in the garden centre part are not badly priced, but look amazingly vibrant and healthy and, yes, very happy looking plants! I love this place. The chef is friendly & teaches adults with learning disabilities to assist in the kitchen, the food is lovely & a good range is provided. Adults with LD are trained to work in the beautiful shop & assist in maintaining the greenhouses & gardens too. Hopkins is in a gorgeous building with outdoor seating & the gardens are beautiful. Very disappointed. Member of staff in cafe spoke in a very rude manner about getting a drink out of the fridge and told 'good luck' for sitting outside. Stated the member of staff was rude who argued with me further. Moved inside and told wasn't able to sit at the table chosen. Shame as I wanted to support the charity but won't be...
