This is a diamond find - if youâre anywhere near central scotland Glasgow Edinburgh or even aberdeen itâs worth the trip - you could spend all day here - breakfast followed by a walk around the loch - maybe afternoon tea in one of the bookable outside round pods - then a browse around the shop followed by early dinner - thereâs a restaurant a cafe a 2.5k loop newly installed around the surrounding fields - parkrun is now a regular event here - venture camp also operates from here
2018 saw a new Greenhouse CafĂŠ, artisan bakery, food hall, tasting room all opening, as well as the wonderful and renowned Hunters of Kinross joining and collaborating on Christmas foods - but also an ongoing fixed concession with some amazing meals ready to put in the oven when you get home - as well as some of the finest cuts of meat in the highlands ... try them you wonât be disappointed
They were recognised in the industry as the Best Place for Women to Work by Business Women Scotland and Independent Retailer of the Year by Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Star Awards.
They ran their 2nd Broccoli Festival, and opened a 2.5K loop around the fields and brought Parkrun to Loch Leven.
So whatâs in store for 2019?
Entrepreneur extraordinaire âEmma Nivenâ says âWeâre focusing on well-being in all itâs various forms. Weâre delighted to be working with VentureFitness who will be running outdoor fitness bootcamps, Heart & Soul who are offering therapies and free meditation sessions and Nia, a mindful dance fitness class starting in February.
In our cafĂŠs and Food Hall, weâll be increasing our range of tasty, healthy food and catering increasingly for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets. 2018 saw lots of press coverage on broccoliâs superfood status (weâre not surprised!) and weâll be bringing in the harvest again with our 3rd Broccoli Festival in August. 2019 sees my biggest personal challenge yet - running the London Marathon, fundraising for Dementia Revolution.
So a perfect mix of dance, meditation, parkrun, venturefit, fresh food and vegetablesâcome and join us for a healthy, happy 2019.â and I echo that ... come and spend the day - if you havenât got a day just come and see the place - I guarantee youâll return and bring friends to show them the place too ...

Decided to go to the toilet one toilet was out of use the other way full off empty toilet rolls, the bin was overflowing and towels all over the floor no excuses for that as plenty of staff around, I even took photos as that was unacceptable and I had to clean the toilet seat, which wasn't my job but didn't seem to be the staffs either, we had a look round but agreed with some reviews that not much is local ware and then on the way out a member of staff was cleaning a door and said to a lady in front of us something that she didn't hear she then repeated without looking to use the other door she was quite sullen and I thought to myself why don't you just move you have no idea if the lady could manage the door, or if she even heard as not all disability is visible was it necessary to clean a glass door when people were obviously coming out. I think some staff need some support...
Read moreWhile not a âlocalâ Iâve been here quite a few times over the years, coming up from Edinburgh to visit friends who live close by.
Itâs always been a safe bet for some good food and decent atmosphere. However it now seems as though things have taken a bit of a tumble.
No area inside is dog friendly, so you have to sit outside where they have several areas including one which is covered. Where you sit depends on which âoutletâ you buy food from, itâs not just a choice of being inside or outside.
Food options for the outside venues, as of July 1, are incredibly limited and consist of either pre packed salads or sandwiches which you purchase from the coffee shop, or soup/salad ordered and paid for via a QR code. Donât expect a meal, think paper plates/cups and wooden cutlery that you throw away once done. Quality was average and prices were high. Staff were fairly indifferent and suggested the changes had been made so they could cope with summer demand.
Iâve no desire to go back and neither do my friends who are local. I doubt the loss of a few customers is of much concern as it now has just a feeling of being âover engineeredâ in the...
