Placed an order on the McDonald's app for this location at approximately 22:15, and arrived at the restaurant at approximately 22:30 - despite the opening times on the app stating that the store is open until 23:00, on arrival the staff were already closing the store for the night at 22:30, and stated they would not be completing our order as by they had closed for the night. It was attempted to explain that the app stated they were open to 11 that night hence why we had placed the order, however the staff unhelpfully stated they had closed all online orders a while ago so we were not be receiving any food.
In addition a number of delivery drivers were also present, to collect customers orders from online takeaways, who were also informed the restaurant was closed and they would not have any orders to deliver despite the customers having paid for this order.
At this time I am still waiting for the refund for the food I was unable to collect as my app states still my food is ready for collection and displays my order code from when I was at the restaurant and attempted to collect my order. Staff stated I would need to contact the apps customer service to receive a refund but didn't provide any guidance as to how to do this. At this time I can only find an only contact form but appears to be an email template, I have been unable to find a contact number for support...
   Read moreCouldn't get my head round the app, offers and self service screen interaction (definitely not for the same reason Afroman didn't clean his room/ go to class/ go to work etc) and the awesome Khalisah sorted me out beyond the call of duty. I hope McDonald's are paying Khalisah at least £15/h basic. Staff like her ultimately make more for their employers at double the minimum wage than a bored, disinterested monkey being paid the peanuts that is the UK minimum wage for young people in the UK.
This McDonald's is one of the better branches of a brand that, despite a lot of hate, has come a long way towards environmental sustainability and provision of healthy nutrition. Clearly a burger, fries and a high sugar fizzy drink is not healthy - but if you switch out the coke for a coffee, the fries for a salad and make the burger a veggie one... Then you have delicious food that is at least not desperately unhealthy!
To clarify, this is a positive review of the staff and any criticism is aimed at myself, the customer. Owners response sounds like he thought I was giving a negative review, far from it. My main criticism of McDonalds is that the veggie delux is no longer an option for the £2.99 burger and fries on completion of survey. Also I dislike sugar free drinks with artificial sweeteners. Stocking diet pop is nothing to...

I was going to park and go into the restaurant itself, but the car park is so small that there were no spaces, so I had to use the drive-thru. I was pleased that the queue was moving nicely and all went well until I got to the final window to collect my order and was asked to park in the main car park!
Around I went and was faced with a number of other cars also looking for somewhere to park. I had no choice, but to sit and block other cars in until a space became available, which was fortunately only a couple of minutes. However, then came the wait for my food...
I had somewhere to be, so looked at my clock to see how much time I had. That's how I know it took a full 9 minutes before my order was finally brought out to me. For a fast food restaurant, this is not acceptable. The fries weren't even fresh - I suspect they had been left in the bag while the rest of my order was waiting to be prepared (I only had fries and a burger!).
The final straw was when the person who brought my order out didn't even apologise for the wait, but instead told me to enjoy my meal! I won't be rushing back to this particular...
