Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in England

1st visit & will be the last. A friend & I arrived about 1.30 - waited for 15 minutes to be served then another 20 for the salads we ordered only to be told there wasn't any chicken for the ceasar...Both had the quiche Lorraine in the end - served 'with salad' which was a bit of lettuce and a cherry tomato cut in half not very appealing and poor value for money. It is peak lunchtime and half term - both of these are no surprise to anyone so no excuse for such poor...

Service is good, place is kept clean and tidy. Nice decor, especially taken into account it's just an in store café. Quite spacious, lots of seating available.

The only issue is the fact that food is well, mediocre. Soft drinks are so expensive, nearly £3 for a can of pop! The drink that I've ordered basically tasted as if it was just a bit of cordial from the store shelf...

Do not ever order an iced latte, it will be vile. They seem to just add a teaspoonful of Nescafe to a glass of water, then add Ice and a tiny amount of skimmed milk. If you want an iced latte, just buy one from the chilled food section of the main store, it'll be cheaper...
