When the order was placed the time of delivery kept creeping up. Upon delivery, it was delivered in an Amazon Prime bag. Lo and behold, my rice box and chips were cold. Chips had zero salt. The rice box, which I have had many of over the years, was the worst one ever. Rice all stuck together in chunks. When I was waiting on my delivery, I attempted calling many times with no answer. Pepes is great, unfortunately, this branch not so much. Delivering in a bag that is not insulated for food?! Shocking.

Felt the need to update my review due to the response. This was my 3rd order. First time we ordered I had asked for a hot and my husband a medium rice box. We both got medium with our extra dips which we had paid for missing from our bag. Second time I ordered again the extra dips were missing. So this above review is my 3rd order. This is not just a "third party" issue. Address where you can better your service, the response has completely put me off from ever ordering again from this branch. I did mention the lack of quality in the rice box and chips and the numerous attempts at calling the branch with no answer (why bothering having a phone) yet the only issue the branch have addressed is the delivery. Especially since the other 2 orders that were not upto standard were collections so nothing to do...

I witnessed shockingly poor levels of hygiene at this branch of Pepe’s! A catalogue of basic hygiene errors by incompetent kitchen staff.

Kitchen staff member was sat on the food prep table playing on his phone. When my order went through to the kitchen he grabbed a wrap from the drawer and then balanced it on his chest while walking to the grill as he was STILL using his phone. He then proceeded to make my wrap without gloves all at the same time touching his face and trousers. Only when he noticed me watching he put gloves on. Once my wrap was made it was placed on the side to be packed. The staff member who took my order then bagged it up. He went from touching the till to wrapping my order WITHOUT any gloves. Prior to this he was attempting to throw a customers receipt into the bin but missed and it landed in someone’s burger which was being prepped. Rather than make a new one he removed the piece of paper again WITHOUT gloves.

If this is their behaviour when customers are present god only knows what they are doing when no one is watching. Il be taking this complaint up directly with Pepe’s as during COVID this level of hygiene is simply...
