We stayed at the Camping and Caravan Club site next door to the rugby club, were we were Informed that campers were welcome and that there was a quiz on each Wednesday. So we went along for the quiz, just my wife and I and we were made very welcome, the quiz was great fun, we didn't do that well, but that's not always the point, there were obviously some very good quiz teams there. Great community rugby club. Very active rugby teams for all ages and well supported. Good clubhouse, recently extended with excellent facilities. Has a bar with TVs for showing matches, main function room with large screen and separate function room. Good selection of drinks at the bar, always 4 real ales on and food available during match days and large events (such as international matches on the large screen). AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Letting your child join this club is not a good idea. We recently witnessed obnoxious behaviour by the team admin and coaches of the U15’s at a rugby festival. We reached out to them to check on language being used In front of impressionable teenagers but this was laughed off as harmless banter by their team admin.
