Star Kitchen — Restaurant in Great Britain

The food is ok at best, the staff are rude, when I asked if I could possibly change an item as a vegetarian, a simple request which no other Chinese takeaway has ever had issue they said just order something else and sent the wrong food anyway, which wasn’t vegetarian so I was unable to enjoy most of my meal. They arrived late, this was my second chance at trying this takeaway as last time I ordered from here the food did not ever arrive and I tried to give them a second chance and this is what we got. They should be ashamed and I’m surprised they are still in business with the way they treat their customers. I have never met a person with a good thing to say about this take away. Food freezing on arrival and missing some of the order. 20 quid for 2 mains and a portion of chips is ridiculous. Rang to ask where the starter was to be palmed off. The chips were stale and cold, with starch coming out of them and a load of salt poured over them probably to hide this fact. The chicken szechuan was not szeechaun sauce more like kung po trying to pass off as szechaun and the sweet and sour was just water.. Bad food and customer service.

UPDATE: 24 hours later, still waiting for either the refund or the missing food to arrive, which was promised would be later on last night. Will be telling everyone to stay clear...

We'd been using Star Kitchen for a few years without any problems. But as if late the chap on the phone, who also takes the orders over the Internet has become really nasty. He often cancels our online order and when we phone to ask if they are taking deliveries, he abruptly says yes. We had a mixup with our delivery address early on in the year as we'd recently moved and the rudeness from the man was quite awful. The food isn't bad, it's the customer service that's appalling. I wouldn't give them your business as there's some lovely takeaways around with friendly happy grateful...
