I wish I could give this company 0 stars. As Iāve been in hospital and had no appetite for days I thought it wouldāve been a great idea to order sushi when I was finally able to eat. I then thought to try out this sushi place but what a nightmare! Iāve ordered 2 sushiās: one eel maki and one salmon lux. The salmon lux was ok nothing special but the eel maki arrived with hair on top of the box. When reported they were adamant it was not their hair as they wore āprotective clothingā. Then when opened I found out that there was Philadelphia cheese all over the eel sushi which was not advertised on their website and Iām lactose intolerant! The eel sushi was 95% Philadelphia and 5% eel. Itās such a rip off considering youāre paying Ā£13 for the eel sushi to enjoy the eel and not Philadelphia cheese! When brought up to Anita she was very unprofessional and only agreed to refund if I had brought the sushi back to her; how could I if Iām in hospital? I cannot believe that Anita called me a ādodgy customerā because I didnāt disclose to her that I was lactose intolerant and she initially refused to give me a refund or replace the product and hang up on my face. Later on she probably realised how rude and unprofessional sheās been and how this would harm her businessā reputation so she had finally agreed to give me a full refund for the eel maki. I started to have issues for my last few orders though. Since I was at work nearby I thought to collect it on my lunch break so I explained to say that I might be a little later than my collection time, when I got there someone had given my order away to another customer and I had to wait a pretty long time to get it⦠I didnāt get to eat for lunch break.
On another order l there was a fiasco where the main road leading to my home was closed, it was not their fault at all and I had to meet the driver halfway to get my order and I only got my sushi after 10pm... Iām not sure if it lead to the business just not offering delivery anymore, but I was not made aware of this at all. This was not posted anywhere on their social media or anything, and they informed me they ran out of stock 3 hours before their listed closing time.
They have a closing down sale now, which they offer 10% discount for, but I also had another 10% which I could not use both for my order, fair enough but they have lost my patronage now after these issues. Iāll try not think too deeply about my treatment after delivery fiasco, and just go to buy from Sushi Daily instead.
