The Glasshouse Restaurant — Restaurant in Great Britain

At first glance my family were a little bit disappointed by the atmosphere/style of the restaurant. Photos on the website made it look like a more sophisticated place, but when we got there laminated menus and people in dressed in sportswear made it feel slightly less so.

However, staff were extremely helpful at all times. I had a small issue with my cutlery, which was quickly resolved by the serving staff and money was taken off our bill. I wasn't expecting any recompense at all, so this gesture of goodwill was an unexpected surprise and characteristic of the good nature we experienced from staff.

Among the 6 of us we had a few different dishes. Salmon Risotto and Pork Cutlets went down a treat, though one Tagliatelle tasted as though it had been microwaved. This can't be said for the rest of our dishes though, which we all really enjoyed.

All in all, if I lived locally I'd definitely stop in here for a casual meal again. I wouldn't hold the problems we had...

This place is very nice large terrace that’s impressive with plenty of outdoor seating good selection of drinks set in the beautiful grounds of the golf course. Staff were nice also attentive at the table . Young barman was chatty on Friday evening a great asset to the bar but staff not so welcoming on Saturday but still pleasant and service was quick. Lovely cafe but portions (individually too big). I ordered a wrap & chips cost £10.50. Should be £7.50 for 1/2 wrap and chips. Spend on lunch including drink should be around a tenner. Cost £14 incl drink but too expensive. Will stick to normal haunts unless options revised. I eat a lot & with groups of friends! Sorry but you need to raise your competitiveness!!!
