The Stableyard Restaurant — Restaurant in Great Britain

We stumbled across ‘The Stableyard’ and were so happy we did. We were very hungry and the restaurant was full, also hosting a wake in part of it. The staff were extremely friendly and although there was no room to sit down, we were able to order takeaway - we waited a short amount of time and the ladies then said we could sit down as a table had just left. I had the Mac n Cheese, this was absolutely delicious and exactly what I needed. Cheesy, melting goodness! My husband had the special pie of chicken leek and ham with veggies, gravy and mash. Again, this was absolutely wonderful with plenty of gravy and he especially loved the pastry and big chunks of delicious chicken. Never been here We had a break stop an Found this restaurant. It was big inside, pleasant, seating areas were different n cosy. Very long counter with scrummy cakes - covered, to choose from. Our cakes We had were lovely l didn't enjoy the coffee at all l left most of it. Also the resturant had a press button machine which took ages to get all coffees etc out. Quite a few people were Still waiting for their orders. Even tho the wait was so long. Waitresses worked hard taking the orders etc. And very pleasant. The building outside was lovely n spacious. Visited today with my elderly Mum & thoroughly enjoyed it. We were made very welcome by polite staff, & although every table was reserved (we hadn't booked), they made room for us so as not to disappoint. Both had a lovely Pork, Leek, Mustard, & Cider casserole which we both enjoyed very much. Came with a great portion of 5 different vegetables & lovely new potatoes. All the staff were consistently polite, attentive, & prompt. All in all, a very pleasant lunch. We will be going back. Update 28/6/25.......I have just had quite possibly the best burger ever.
