Looked on Google for 'Afternoon teas near me' and all that came up was central York, but nothing near to Clifton Moor. So discouraged we just decided to go into the next cafe we passed. This was Willow Farm cafe...and what luck. One of the best afternoon teas we've had and definitely the biggest meal! Sandwiches, wraps and salad/coleslaw and crisps, see my photo. Only thing we missed was dainties, but all the cakes included were very very nice. Everything was fresh and very tasty, plus the staff were all very nice and friendly. We added a milk shake for my son and it last only a couple of minutes it was so more'ish! All of this for under £40 to. Google add Willow Farm to my afternoon tea search! Came back for my son's birthday as it was so good the first time, little concerned that it might disappoint 2nd time round... No Worries, either as good or better, just look at the photos. Well done all at Willow Farm cafe & thankyou!

We came for Sunday lunch, I ordered the large which was good value for the £10.95 I paid and I was very full by the end of it. I was a little disappointed with the food, in particular the roast potatoes which were hard and not enjoyable and the overcooked veg. However, can't complain too much because of the price. Service was very slow, took half an hour just to get some drinks but it was very full when we arrived. They do cakeaway and the cakes are delicious. One star removed for service and roasties. Would go back for cake and to try other menu items but would not go back for Sunday Lunch.

What a gem this place is! They have outdoor seating both under cover and in the sun. They have a kids play area also. We had table service and were very quick to take our order and drinks came out very quickly as well as our meal. Our breakfasts were delicious 😋. We even shared a little bit of eggs and bacon with our doggie as they are welcome too! Thank you willow farm cafe and we will be back.

Arrived at 12pm today bank holiday. Promptly seated inside, table of two.

Female member of staff came and politely asked us if we were ready to order 5 minutes after being seated. Food and drink ordered after 10 minutes of being seated and then our teas were brought to the table.

Then we waited an hour for two full English breakfasts. Spoke to several members of staff to ask regarding our order and was told our ticket was next and still our food was no where to be seen. The people sat next to us (table of 6) were then served there food and they had ordered after us. No apology or communication from the staff , no offer of another hot drink whilst we were waiting for our food.

Food was of a really good quality but spoilt by the lack of communication and customer service. An absolute shame as this place could be really nice.

Upon paying a member of staff told me the wait was expected due to it being bank holiday. No excuses as far as I was concerned. If I was told it was an hour wait upon ordering then that’s fair enough but to keep a table of two waiting on a full English , with no communication/apology or offer of a drink to break up the wait , well Morrisons do a better job and I certainly will not...

Wonderful family friendly venue. We were a group of 15 including 3 young children. We were very fortunate that the cafe agreed to acccomodate us on 2 tables set aside. The staff were friendly and attentive towards us throughout. The food came out in an orderly fashion so we were all able to eat at the same time. The food was hot, tasty and well presented with a good choice of menu, reasonably priced. Individual needs were catered for without question. Good humoured cheerful staff who made our family experience most enjoyable . The covered area around the play areas was welcomed as we were able to watch the youngsters make the most of the bouncy castle and under5s area. We did not feel rushed or an inconvenience to anyone. All areas were clean and comfortable. Tables were well spaced out within the cafe. Looking forward to our next visit. Thankyou to all the staff team for such a brilliant set up. Just wish wed had room for the wonderful selection...
