Excellent food and service! Messaged to enquire about afternoon tea to takeaway for 2. Ordered one traditional platter and requested one vegetarian platter which was more than happily accommodated. Messaged only 24 hours prior to picking up the order and was fortunate to also be accommodated for this. Following collection of our order I received a message to strongly apologise that the macaroons had been forgotten (my dining companion and I had indulged in our food to even noticed they were missing!) and was offered a very kind gesture for the mistake. Had a wonderful afternoon tea here, one vegetarian option, one regular option. There were 4 different sandwich fillings; a sausage roll/vegetarian sausage roll; a huge wedge of Victoria sponge cake; fruit scone with clotted cream and jam; chocolate brownie; macaron and Eton mess. Having visited numerous times I am disappointed to say that the service has gone from bad to worse. Today we had to wait well over an hour for just sandwiches. How long do eggs take to cook! Would have appreciated you just saying you didn't have them and ordered something else! This was less than ideal as we had a small child in our party.
