On the positive side the service was excellent albeit a little slow, however the food was disappointing with a very liberal use of MSG.

We ordered the spring rolls and prawn crackers to start which were excellent however it went downhill from then on.

Having seen the Chef's specials and the high prices we had anticipated an authentic Thai experience, however we were severely disappointed.

For the main courses we ordered the Lamb Shank Massaman curry, which was very sweet with hardly any spice and no nuts and was as far away from authentic as I have ever had with this curry.

The Pad Thai was also very sweet and again not a great flavour especially as MSG had been used in quantity.

The final main course was a King Prawn Chop Chee, which was labelled as being spicy, however the sauce was bland with only a small amount of heat. The prawns were Tempura battered, and what was odd is that the shells had been left on making it difficult to eat.

The rice portion was tiny especially for what was charged.

Overall we paid almost £100.00 with only a single beer and a single glass of wine and exclusive of the tip.

When I enquired of the waitress whether the Chefs were Thai, to my shock I was told that they were. I was also told that they could not produce authentic Thai food due to the lack of ingredients in the UK.

This explanation was nonsense as in my experience Thai ingredients are readily available here.

All in all it was an expensive meal for what was served and the levels of MSG used were so high that you could feel it sticking to your lips. Indeed you will get better Thai cuisine from M&S or Waitrose at considerably less cost.

Had the meal been authentic then the price would have been of little consequence, however you would do better to go to Rose's Thai in Guildford which is much more authentic with generous portions and at a considerably lesser cost that Pashorn...

Big shame. I was in this place almost every day of the week at one stage getting my lunch. This place was serving up the good stuff. Unfortunately the chef has changed about four times and the same for waiting staff. One guy who was on the desk was really nice then just went. To be honest the food has slipped and no longer to my tastes and the ladies who run the place are just bizarre. I had the latest member of staff introduced to me. Please meet our most loyal customer. I just don’t want people standing over me having a managerial Grovelling whilst I’m eating. The last and final straw and the reason they’ve lost their best customer, I walk in and the lady asks me if I’ve got any friends who would like to do some table waiting. I just don’t know what to say, yea sure Let me thing about this for a nano second. I come in here to relax and the inconsistency and abnormal behaviour makes me go home and sling on some boiled potatoes and eat tinned sardines instead. So much potential. So disappointing....

We went for Sunday lunchtime, birthday meal - and was our first visit, following getting a menu, through our door. It wasn't overly busy - but, we had excellent one to one friendly, personal service and helpful guidance and recommendations. We were given the option of being able to choose how spicy we wanted each dish. Everything was beautifully presented and full of great flavours. The ladies toilets were also first class-beautiful furnishings/décor ! Also very accommodating - as we wanted to bring birthday cake...... Added extra sprinkles, and a bit of cream.... and a complimentary drink. Parking was fairly easy to find - although, maybe useful to have it highlighted on website /flyers. We were all very impressed and left nothing! 😋 Definitely a great place to try out and return - try it!👏😊 Thank you so much for making it a such a pleasurable experience and great birthday celebration...

We are regular patrons of Thai cuisine and this would be our first time at Passorn after living around this area for more than 15 years! On the whole, our family thought that the food was toothsome and authentic. It went down well with our discerning young eaters. We ordered the soft shell crab in papaya salad, stir fried black pepper beef, Pad Khee Mao (fried flat noodles) and Pa-naeng curry; but the standout dishes were the first two. The papaya salad contrasted well with the fried crab in terms of a sweet, sour and savoury mix; whilst the pepper style fry delivered a peppery punch boosted by the strong shades of garlicky forces. The portions are sufficient (but not generous) although prices are relatively dear compared to Thai places in town and/or outskirts. Overall, an enjoyable lunch with a jovial service and a sunny disposition.

Came here a week ago for dinner and the food was tasty. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We ordered the squid tempura and chicken wings for starters and a beef pad Thai and roasted duck curry. The starters were nicely fried and very crispy which we loved. The mains were very good especially the roasted duck curry. We ordered jasmine rice to accompany the curry which was cooked well. The only flaws were that we felt that the starters could have used a touch more salt, and for me, the pad Thai was a bit sweeter than I am used to but overall a good experience.

My wife and I moved to the UK from California three years ago and used to eat Thai all the time there. Sadly, nearly all the Thai food that is available in the town we live in is not very good, so we rarely eat it anymore. We were very happily surprised that the food here was quite good. Both the masaman curry and pad kee mow were quite delicious, and that is coming from someone who is definitely pretty picky about Thai food. The place is also dog friendly and has a nice outdoor patio, which we really appreciated. Thanks for the great food!
