Refresh Cafe — Restaurant in Guildford

There was a good selection of cakes (but expensive) and drinks and most of the staff were pleasant, but sadly one member of staff was incredibly rude, unwelcoming and ruined what could have been a lovely experience. Moreover, no help was offered when carrying a lot of items with my hands already full which led to me dropping some of my order on the floor. Staff stood by and a very expensive cake £2.95 was wasted. They also gave out ‘party bags’ to some children and not others (to celebrate 1st year of business) which caused a bit of upset among mine and another persons daughter who were excluded. I never thought I would write a negative comment about this place, but I'm really upset and disappointed. We chose to have coffee and cake there for our 28th wedding anniversary. We selected a cake, and there were only two slices left, generously sized. I couldn’t believe that what we got was one slice cut in half for £4.25 each. Love the food here! The breakfast French toast is my favourite and can never go wrong with their bacon, brie & cranberry panini so yummy! All lovely ladies and so good if you have little ones/babies.
