Third time at this restaurant, and thought it would be nice to bring my local friend to experience chinese food, therefore going only on sunday as they offered the buffet option, allowing us to have a variety of options. The first time i was there, I was immediately offered the buffet option upon requesting, but this time when requesting the option, I was told by the waitress with pony tail and fair skin that it was catered to "white people" and it would be too sweet for my liking. However, I insisted on the buffet option and she went to speak to the "manager", which took like 5 seconds, before coming back and saying that the option was not available for us. While we looked at the menu on deciding what to eat, we decided to try again with another waitress to ask for the buffet option, and while she did want to give us the menu, as she walked away, she exchanged looks with the first waitress and never came back. The first waitress came back and gave us the menu unwillingly and walked off, which initiated negativity to the experience. While we eventually got our buffet option and food, we could not help but feel like we were unwelcomed, as servers avoided our table, and even when they came over, they gave us horrible attitude, by slamming the food on the table and clearly showed distaste to me and my friends. The double standards in this restaurant is simply unacceptable. Why would you promote the buffet option, serve the "white people" as your staff calls it and rejected the Asians who opt for the option? The whole experience was just horrible, even when we asked for the bill. The bill was placed on our table and it took us to stand up and walk to one of them serving at a table(which is not our job?) , before being able to have someone bring the card machine (which is so damn easy) to pay our bill. WORSE THING IS - SERVICE CHARGE IS MANDATORY (despite uk's optional law), they need to review this especially when it was a horrible experience. Even when I called the phone line given on a name card (address to Tammy Wong - Manageress), it was not the person who picked up, it was probably a staff and we were told that she was not in. The fact that majority of the staff were Asian and the service given by them to fellow asians are so trash, while they were all pretense and smiles in front of the locals, just irks me so much. How does a restaurant live up to its ethical responsibility when they are like this? This is exceptionally unprofessional, and it ruined our night and appetite. If any of my friends or like any one ask or even myself, I would not patronise this restaurant and tell my friends that unless you are local, they will be racist to fellow asians. from now on, BOYCOTT BEIJING RESTAURANT...

My family and I have been going to to this restaurant since it opened. The food was great as was the service so we continually returned. But over the last few years the good staff left, the gentleman owner became over bearing and intrusive, table confusions, empty plates / rubbish not cleared up in a timely manner and service was slow, even if the restaurant was practically empty...
The final straw came when we booked a table for 8 people for our very special family occasion, of which two members had travelled in from abroad, which they do so once a year and we managed to get everyone together for the first time in a long time. We asked for the big table by the window, by the front door and this was confirmed to us. We were even called on the day of our booking to reconfirm that we were still coming, which we confirmed and also confirmed about the specific table we booked and staff confirmed that this was all ok and booked for us.
When we got the the restaurant we saw that our requested table was not free and was currently being used by a Asian family of over 10 people, eating the duck course, so they had not even had their mains yet.
We spoke to the staff and they said that their other staff member gave our table away! Even though we booked in advance AND even though they phoned us on the day of our booking to confirm as above.
The staff said they could make up a table for us, which would be disjointed tables and sorry, that is not good enough as that is not what we booked! We have had random tables slapped together before which was not inclusive to certain family members, leaving some of us isolated from our family on another table.. not ideal and not what we wanted to do again. We wanted the table we booked and confirmed in advance and again on the day when the restaurant called us!
We looked around at the other tables and we saw miserable faces, which I would guess was from people still waiting for their food which they ordered quite some time ago...some which I have experienced for myself in the past on a few occasions regardless of the restaurant was full or not...staff looking flustered and on a sinking ship. An empty table was full of discarded pancake basket containers, drinks glasses and plates.
We turned around, left and went elsewhere. Fortunately another Chinese restaurant were able to fit us in last minuet and were extremely accommodating. Especially on such a special occasion, which was tainted and spoilt by...

Firstly, Staffs from this restaurant are required to learn Customer Service. They are so ignorant and they do not listen to the customer.
Today, I went to this restaurant with my pregnant wife and My wife was fancy to have soup (due to pregnancy), but they refused to serve us because they wanted us to spend £10 per person even if we do not want - although I ordered two soups for us.
At the very beginning when we entered the restaurant, I explained to the lady (who was showing very unwelcoming attitude) that my wife is pregnant and we only want to have soup. We sat and ordered two soups. The person, who was taking the order, was surprised and informed the manager or whoever (the same unwelcoming attitude lady). The lady came and told us that we will not be served unless we order at least £10 per person. I tried to ask why she didn't tell us before, but she was so ignorant - just told us to order for takeaway. My wife told me to ask for takeaway, which I did and I didn't argue with them. After placing the takeaway order, we were sitting at the same dinning table and that ignorant lady sent another staff to ask use to leave the table and sit at the waiting room. We felt so embarrassed and disappointed when we saw that there were not many customers that time and most of the tables were empty. Also, she knew that the soup will be ready in 2/3 minutes, yet she asked us to leave the table and wait at the reception area - SO RESIST.
I am a University Lecturer and I know many of academic and industrial colleagues always come to this restaurant for business parties because its interior decoration is quite nice. Even though we live literally next to this restaurant, I will not recommend to anyone including my colleagues to come to this restaurant because Staffs in this restaurant are only care about money - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO WELCOMING ATTITUDE and they are RESIST (their services made us feel that we were different!!!!).
I have a suggestion to the owner of this restaurant that you SHOULD train the basics of Customer Service to your staffs. It will help to flourish your business. If that IGNORANT, RESIST, UNWELCOMING ATTITDE lady is the restaurant owner, then I would say this restaurant SHOULD NOT exist here when she certainly do not know how to serve customers and she...
