So to begin our journey I had no idea where to go to get to the Farmers Kitchen, I asked a member of staff who eventually after 10 minutes of conversation took us to the marquee to be seated. Once seated, my party and I waited 25 minutes for a waitress to come over and take our order, whilst looking in the menus it had scribbled pencil on every page which we couldn't understand; once the waitress had taken our order of just coffee and one babycino for my daughter who is one and has a milk allergy (so 3 coffees and 1 Oat milk babycino).
After we ordered we then proceeded to wait another 30-40 minutes for our drinks to arrive! Half way through the waiting time a waitress came over to ask us 'was everything okay?' In which I responded 'we haven't received our drinks yet', then our order turns up about 20 minutes Later.
When our drinks finally arrived, the babycino was too hot for my daughter and not only that, it was made with cows milk and not oat! When I was told by the waitress when the drinks were put on the table that it was definitely oat. If it wasn't for me tasting it, my daughter could have a severe allergic reaction. The coffee was bitter and like warm at best.
I'm severely disappointed in the service and overall experience of the Farmers Kitchen. I will definitely not...
Read moreStopped off here on a whim, and it was the best decission we made. Arrived after the lunch rush, so was seated to a table rather fast. What's lovely is on our way to the table you see the chef station and can see the team busy at it getting the orders together. A pretty hot day today so both outdoor and indoor seating was well occupied. Lovely drinks selection, the fresh juices were a hit with us on this particularly hot day. Food order was taken pretty sharply, and food arrived in good time - in keeping with being cooked fresh. The portions are recieving, they look a little small but are actually adequately filling. My son found the chicken of his burger a little dry, but the garlic Mayo was absolutely delicious. I had no room for dessert but the boys enjoyed theirs. Will definitely be coming back, very tempted by the afternoon tea. The fresh produce was wonderfully displayed, prices seemed reasonable given the on site growing nature of it all. Some lovely looking fresh baked goods too. Local jams, honey and alcohol, also a fresh meat counter. A gifting section also was setup, some lovely homeware items and some cooking/bbq items too. Outdoor area was also selling some outdoor plants and pots, again high looking g...
Read moreMyself, partner and 14month old arrived for breakfast as a treat as we hadnât been for 7/8 months. We were sat down quite quickly but getting served for drinks and food was another 20 mins, only to be served with the most awful attitude, little comments about everything as well as the looks she was giving my child when he was getting upset. Both of us had farmers breakfasts with black pudding and extra scrambled egg which were so disappointing, toast was cremated, black pudding was forgotten and hash brown was also forgotten on my partners plate. Once again we couldnât see anyone to let them know, by the time we had the chance to mention anything our food would have been cold. When we let them know she sighed and said âoh reallyâ like she didnât believe anything we were saying. Getting the bill they tried to charge us for the black pudding and a childâs meal which neither we had. The main lady who served us was appalling no sorry or correcting herself, she asked for someone else to deal with us. Itâs so sad how downhill itâs gone, I used to love coming here for breakfast and having lovely service. I really hope it gets back to how...
