The Cafe Welland Park — Restaurant in Harborough

Harborough, as we all know, has A LOT of cafes and coffee spots. It's always my preference to support the small independent establishments, and fortunately, we've spoilt for choice in that department.

This was my first visit to the cafe at Welland Park, which is something of a hidden gem! Unless you're a regular visitor to the park, you might not know about this lovely little cafe. But after seeing a post on Instagram, I thought it was time for a visit.

It was quite busy when I arrived, and it was a bit of a chilly day, so I was glad to get a table inside. I ordered a coffee, which was really good. But it was the main dish - a potato rosti with bacon, poached egg and tomato relish - that got top marks from me. It was one of the tastiest things I've eaten at a cafe in ages.

I hope this new dish stays on the menu, because it will definitely entice...

If could put no stars I would Terrible customer service. Horrible Atmosphere. Dirty environment. Five staff & not one of them noticed me in front of the counter waiting to be served for 20mins. It was like they all didn't know what they was doing. Two customers in front of me was served then when it came to me. A staff member went and cleaned the table right next to me, the girl on the till walked off & looked at me from the kitchen, the guy on the coffee machine kept looking away from me, the lady in the kitchen was just shouting stuff out to her other colleagues and another staff member just walking around not doing anything. In the seating area on the floor had loads of food which my dog kept trying to eat. The quality of the food & drink I saw that was given to the two customers before me didn't...

Top service, great staff! The best cafe in Market Harborough. Definitely has the best coffee, cakes and food! One of the cleanest food places in Market Harborough. Dog friendly as well. But you cannot sit inside with a dog and you have to have your dog on its lead whilst ordering. Best bacon and brie in the Midland's! All the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. One of the jewels of Market Harborough. The food that is served is of an incredibly high quality and standard. The presentation is top notch. You pay a premium but it is definitely worth it. I will definitely revisit when I move. The only bad thing is that when it's busy you may have to wait but it's definitely...
