The Bell Inn — Restaurant in Harborough

Important stuff first; a choice of 2 well-kept cask ales, Woodford Whery and my Dad's go to, Tim Taylor. So Dad and I were already chuffed! Friendly and welcoming staff, all very good with my very chatty, special needs, daughter. The food was great. Kids Menu Pizza for my daughter, she loved. My 12 year old Son surprised us all by ordering from the "light bites." For context, he is 6 ft tall and loves his food. He chose well! A very generous meal of chicken goujons and chips with cajun mayo and a side of coleslaw. He was very impressed, a rare state for a one 12 going on 20!!! My Mom and Dad went for the fish and chips, which they really enjoyed, but it beat them both! I had a lovely fresh chicken and bacon salad, which was also a generous portion. This is a fantastic genuine country pub perfect for lunch right near Foxton Locks, Market Harborough. We will definitely be returning as my wife...

We walked here after mooring our canal boat up at the top of Foxton locks on a Thursday night. It was a busy night with a really great village pub atmosphere and an open log fire roaring away in the corner. What really makes this an outstanding find is the team of people that work and run the pub who were very friendly. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble, everyone went above and beyond to help even going as far as offering to run us back to the boat! Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to try the menu but the food coming out of the kitchen looked great and smelt wonderful! Thanks again to everyone at the Bell Inn and hope to see you all again...

We had heard this pub was good for food so booked a table for three of us mid week, lunchtime. The food was lovely so we decided it might be a good venue for my birthday meal. So we took the plunge, and booked a table for 12. It was the attention to detail that impressed us as we had pre-ordered our food and were then contacted by Carol who needed clarification on one of the choices. The whole experience of the afternoon was wonderful. The beautiful country pub, the friendly atmosphere. excellent staff, and the home cooked food was exceptional.
