Important stuff first; a choice of 2 well-kept cask ales, Woodford Whery and my Dad's go to, Tim Taylor. So Dad and I were already chuffed! Friendly and welcoming staff, all very good with my very chatty, special needs, daughter. The food was great. Kids Menu Pizza for my daughter, she loved. My 12 year old Son surprised us all by ordering from the "light bites." For context, he is 6 ft tall and loves his food. He chose well! A very generous meal of chicken goujons and chips with cajun mayo and a side of coleslaw. He was very impressed, a rare state for a one 12 going on 20!!! My Mom and Dad went for the fish and chips, which they really enjoyed, but it beat them both! I had a lovely fresh chicken and bacon salad, which was also a generous portion. This is a fantastic genuine country pub perfect for lunch right near Foxton Locks, Market Harborough. We will definitely be returning as my wife has F.O.M.O !😁
