This has to be the worst accommodation that I have ever stayed in. Booked through Booking.com which does not describe the rooms in any detail or I certainly wouldn’t have booked. Payment was required up front and if I hadn’t paid would have walked away. I chose this place due to poor reviews of chain establishments in the area, ( at least you know what you’re getting) and availability ( and now I know why) We had been staying in an air B and B for a family wedding but needed to move nearer to Fleet for one night for my grandsons first birthday. This was so disappointing. The room is in a converted stable block but it looked like a garage from outside, sandwiched between the car park and beer garden/smoking area. From the photos, I thought I would be in the main building. The room was very very small, with a double bed up against the wall and headboard meaning one occupant had to vacate the bed from the bottom. The bed was quite firm. The room was clean but had many cobwebs in the vaulted ceiling to look at. There was one tiny skylight ( it had a blind) but this required standing on the headboard to reach it. It was the hottest day of the year unfortunately, and noise could be heard from the yard and singing ( I think football was on) Noise from? the cellar fan was on all night. We did not feel welcome, responses rather smug and sarcastic. There was no fan available ( there must have been other hot days/ nights over the years) and the person seemed to think this was amusing and smirked as he cheerfully told me they did not have one and walked away. No empathy here. I’m not keen on enclosed spaces and the room was stifling even with the velux open. It was not possible to have the door open due to customers outside. As a result no sleep and exhausted in the morning. I’m sure that purchasing some cheap fans would be a nice offering and maybe result in a more bearable experience. ||We ate our evening meal again very disappointed. Nothing wrong with food quality but it was extremely bland. ||||I see from responses to other reviews that the landlord has a take or leave it attitude. It’s obviously a pub for the locals and if you’re not one of those you’re...

Our experience there was horrendous.||The room, which was actually part of a converted stable, was small and minimally furnished, and there was a distinct dank smell. The bathroom was rudimentary and repairs to the plumbing were not done professionally. The bathroom fan was extraordinarily loud and continued operating for several minutes after the light had been extinguished. There was just one small roof vent (sized 1' x 1.5') and the fan that, we were told, should have been in the room, was not there. (The property was not manned from 2300-1030, so we had no recourse to have one assigned to us). Loud voices from the adjacent kitchen continued late into the evening and, once workers departed for the night, our sleep was disturbed by the sound of an industrial type exhaust fan which cycled on-and-off every twenty minutes and which spewed cooking oil fumes into our room through the roof vent (the exhaust fan and our roof vent were located close together and at the same height). The smell of cooking oil also permeated into the bedding and pillows.||Our greatest concern, however, was for our personal safety. The room, which was part of a wooden building, was located right next to the kitchen. There was no window, so the only egress was through the front door. I seriously doubt that the property has passed the requisite Health and Safety inspections. This poses a liability risk for the property owner and, by extension, Booking.com.||At 2 am, we moved to the car and spent an uncomfortable and sleepless night there, our only consolation being the fact that we were safe and, with the windows open, relatively cool.||Next morning, we departed early, leaving the keys on the bed and moved to another hotel for our second night in Farnham. On Sunday, we went back to the hotel and spoke with the Food and Beverage Manager, who listened to our concerns and said she would have her management contact us directly. We've heard nothing since then, and subsequent phone calls to the property have not...
