I always try something new here. Pea and lemon soup and the caponata are so tasty. Its very clean, comfortable and I love the cosmopolitan vibe. Delicious food, friendly atmosphere and definitely a place where people can go on their own and feel at home. Ray and his staff are really friendly and his wife (Lucy) is a great cook. Delicious food, great service, lovely location and atmosphere. I have been here for a brunch on a Saturday morning and was really impressed with the overall experience. The food was delicious I had smoked salmon with scrambled eggs on sourdough toast and it was superb. My girlfriend had deluxe cheese on toast and it again was delicious. There is nothing to dislike about this place: child, dog and people-friendly, with a fantastic menu, relaxed, friendly, service and a great soundtrack to enjoy it to.

I've enjoyed various sweet tarts and cakes (both eat-in and to take away) and some excellent, great-value lunches. But if you go (in the winter) for the (vegetarian, no meat stock) French onion soup alone, you're in for a treat. It's delicious! I highly recommend it and am so happy to have this walking distance...
