Oh dear, sadly a very poor experience. For what should have been a meal to remember it turned out to be awful. Firstly the decor was very worn. Whilst the building is amazing clearly the senior management team doesn't care about their guest experience. I ordered the £28 sirloin steak. It was as tough as old boot and well overcooked for medium. The steak was presented with a large mushroom burnt to a cinder. My cousins order the king prawns these were undercooked and a wagyu beef burger was also burnt to a cinder. My aunt had duck and this was nothing special. A half pint of beer was ordered and this arrived in a pint glass. Looked like someone had enjoyed the top half! Windows in the dining room were wide open and could not be closed as the catches were missing. The doors to the kitchen were filthy. I don't know why it is so difficult to give them a coat of paint. But truly the most unbelievable thing was to have the chef serve food on two chipped plates! Great place to harbor germs. Staff were pleasant, though service was very slow. Waited 45 minutes for our starter to arrive (small plates at high price point - but okay) and there were other guests. But honestly, for £200, you expect so much more.

You could've cut the atmosphere in here with a knife. Food was edible but there's a mcdonalds up the road, half the price and twice as nice (yes really). Table cloth was filthy despite the restaurant being empty. Had to keep walking to the hotel reception to ask for drinks, and at one point I wanted some mayo for my burger and spent 5 minutes wandering around trying to find someone. Despite there only being one other gentleman in the room with me, the chips still managed to be close enough to stone cold. The burger itself wasn't terrible, but the taste was a bit strange. A very peculiar experience I shall not be repeating.

Not good very expensive but had breakfast as it was included in my stay.No breakfast rolls had to ask and 2 small ones they were heated for me,can't comment on cooked breakfast as I didn't fancy one. Bananas looked rather brown and I'm sure they served breakfast buffet on saucers?

Very disappointed as this was my birthday dinner and had brought some with us. The service was deplorable and it took ages for our meals to come and when they arrived, they were stone cold. We arrived at 7:15pm and the starter wasn't served until 8:20. I asked to the waiter when were we going to be served? His answer was appalling, "we were the the wedding party next door" and yet the main restaurant we were was full of people, all of whom were complaining about the service. Some even sent their food back again as it was too cold on arrival. We hardly saw waiters in the main restaurant. My husband had to go out and tell people when our drinks needed to be replished. We have been to this restaurant 3 times before but I must the standards have dropped dramatically. I don't believe we will be coming again and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my friends or relatives. We only had two course s each and it was almost 10pm when left. To top it off the main restaurant was freezing cold and kept my coat on wand it was highly uncomfortable. Dr A Martin and...

A warm welcome greeted us. We were shown to our table to wait for my other friends. The waiting staff were very pleasant and helpful. I have a garlic allergy and this was dealt with in a very satisfactory manner to even changing the vegetable side dish to accommodate me. The meal order taken and arrived all together. The food was hot, appetising and absolutely delicious. Our meals consisting a risotto, fish and chips and chicken burgers were delicious and enjoyed by the four of us. For deserts we decided on icecream and sorbet ice with various flavours again delicious. Whilst the choice could have been more varied we were all able to enjoy the meals ordered. The young waitress was helpful. Smiling all the time and efficient. Would we go again, a...
