Review update: 1 Year later. Ordered via app for collection, waited 30 minutes inside to collect. 30 minutes for fast food? What? The screen inside says âready for collectionâ but itâs not.
Then when i got the order home it was missing an entire burger.
The staff at the tills didnât say when orders were ready, the floors of the kitchen is filthy, staff who had finished for the day, using the collection point as a dinner table chatting to their colleagues, where customers are waiting. Staff walking round the kitchen with no hairnet etc, staff wiping their hands on their face then packing orders.
Honestly Mc Donalds I really could do a better job myself.
Then to rub it in, you canât even complain, they donât answer their phone until you ring several times, they ask you fir a receipt they never gave you.
What a total and utter sham of a ârestaurantâ

Went for a drive through. Got spoken to rudely by server. Then after seeing the right order on the screen, we got the wrong order.

Read moreI love a Big Mac, probably having a meal once a fortnight in my travels. What I have found is a drop in standards across many Mcdonalds in the last couple of years. I usually grab a meal here when I'm on the go and don't have time to get something more substantial. Many times recently I have found my burger poorly put together, or missing sauce, or with a pathetic amount of lettuce. On occasion chips have been cold. The thing I have noticed that bizarrely seems to make a massive negative impact is that all the preparation areas have been re-layed out. In the past food went straight down a shoot to a server and passed over quick and easy. Lately food travels sideways to the front, where it is met by many seemingly confused servers. Food piles up as I watch in despair, wanting to point at my meal and say 'that's mine' for five minutes while it gets colder and I get later. There are of course some outlets still providing good food and service, but this is no longer the norm. I think I read that Mcdonalds serves 1 percent of global population a day, and that is an incredible achievement. Please sort this out, get the layouts sorted, or get the staff skilled up to your new ways of working, but get the champions of fast food...
Read moreAs McDonalds go, this is a pretty good one, made even better by the fact that itâs my local one, even though itâs so close, I am occasionally lazy enough to pay for delivery.
You know what you are going to get with McDonalds, apart from the occasional awful branch, they are mostly consistent. The Hinckley perimeter road one is a good one, however it can be very busy at times in store and in the drive thru so be prepared to wait a bit at peak times.
Try to check you r order before leaving as it has been known for them to get the orders mixed up sometimes, not often but it does happen and itâs a pain to sort out later if you get home and ray your missing items.
It has all the standard McDonalds facilities including indoor dining, ordering machines, counter service and toilets and a baby change, personally Iâd much rather not eat inside, I prefer to take mine home to eat, itâs more civilised.
All in all, good standard McDonalds, and I like it even more because itâs my local.
They even had a charity fundraiser during the pandemic which was nice, as you can see in the video of one of the members of staff having a song along, i would recommend...
