If I could give no stars I would!! Absolutely appalling from start to finish. First off the food was basic and frankly disgusting. The arancini for some reason tasted like curry which I am sure shouldn’t be the case. My partner and I ordered risotto which tasted like rice pudding! We sent this back and I asked for the salmon pasta as a replacement which was swimming! My partner ordered a replacement spaghetti bolognaise and they couldn’t even get that right - they sent out the vegetarian linguini!!! We had to complain so many times. We waited 10 minutes for some Parmesan cheese in which they brought out the tiniest bowl for our table of 8! We was also handed dirty cutlery so my Nan had to ask for a clean set. Due to the complains the waitress kindly gave us free desserts. However, to top our shocking experience off we waited 30 minutes for the bill to which they gave us the bill for another table and they didn’t even realise! When we asked for our correct bill we waited a further 15 minutes to pay. Then somebody came over to tell us our slot for the table was expiring even though we was waiting to pay. Then, when finally taking the payment the waitress didn’t check how much we owed and we could have got away with not paying nearly £100! At one point, we wanted to get desserts so we asked for a dessert menu and in the end we had to do the waiter’s job ourselves. Absolutely awful service & food. This is not on even if your...
Read moreboy oh boy, if it wasn’t for the food, this restaurant would be getting 0 stars from me. racist staff, unwelcoming atmosphere and terrible service! i had made a booking over the phone for my birthday meal but upon arrival at the restaurant, the staff (amy & leanne) could not seem to find my booking. they were both very cold, unfriendly and unhelpful. i was told i had either not made the booking or had made it at another branch. i showed them my call log to prove i had called the restaurant, and indeed this particular branch, to which we were told to wait to be seated. they reluctantly seated us, but placed us on a table right by the front door (not in the heart of the restaurant where we wanted to enjoy the vibes and atmosphere). with the door constantly opening and closing, we were cold throughout our visit. despite our waitress (tatiana) being lovely, it was deeply upsetting to know that one of the managers (amy) was rude and racist and i say this because being the only ASIANS in the restaurant, we were mistreated and ignored. we noticed that other customers were greeted with a warm smile and laugh and were asked about allergens etc. the staff here made us feel like a burden and that they had to accommodate for us, when in fact we had made a booking and provided proof of this. the food was very pleasant and would be the only reason we would...
Read moreFood was disappointing. All of the family had dry food. Rack of ribs had flavour but literally dry as a bone. Chicken skewers, was just dry chicken on a stick. Roasted vegetables missed depth of flavour, all abit samey and would have been better with a balsamic vinegar and some garlic. Everything needed a sauce or vinegars or gravy. The option of a creamy mash potato, greens and steamed vegetableson the menu would be good, anything to vary textures. Absolutely amazed that no sauces or seasonings were offered to the table. I asked hoping for a drizzle of olive oil, or balsamic vinegar, not even parmesan or black pepper today. Instead I was given 2 small sachets of Helman's mayonnaise. I suppose the advert does say makes everything taste better! After fighting to open the plastic wrappers my husband and I squeezed out about a teaspoon amount. Pathetic, but goodness the food needed it. Desserts and drinks were worth it. Gelatto was as it should be but had no wow factor for presentation. Could all be so much better if little tweaks were made. Maybe I am a fussy Italian, or maybe I was the only Italian in the restaurant today, haha. Can I suggest sending your Chef's to Roma or bring them over to Mamma Mias House, I'll show you all how...
