If I could give no stars I would!! Absolutely appalling from start to finish. First off the food was basic and frankly disgusting. The arancini for some reason tasted like curry which I am sure shouldn’t be the case. My partner and I ordered risotto which tasted like rice pudding! We sent this back and I asked for the salmon pasta as a replacement which was swimming! My partner ordered a replacement spaghetti bolognaise and they couldn’t even get that right - they sent out the vegetarian linguini!!! We had to complain so many times. We waited 10 minutes for some Parmesan cheese in which they brought out the tiniest bowl for our table of 8! We was also handed dirty cutlery so my Nan had to ask for a clean set. Due to the complains the waitress kindly gave us free desserts. However, to top our shocking experience off we waited 30 minutes for the bill to which they gave us the bill for another table and they didn’t even realise! When we asked for our correct bill we waited a further 15 minutes to pay. Then somebody came over to tell us our slot for the table was expiring even though we was waiting to pay. Then, when finally taking the payment the waitress didn’t check how much we owed and we could have got away with not paying nearly £100! At one point, we wanted to get desserts so we asked for a dessert menu and in the end we had to do the waiter’s job ourselves. Absolutely awful service & food. This is not on even if your...

boy oh boy, if it wasn’t for the food, this restaurant would be getting 0 stars from me. racist staff, unwelcoming atmosphere and terrible service! i had made a booking over the phone for my birthday meal but upon arrival at the restaurant, the staff (amy & leanne) could not seem to find my booking. they were both very cold, unfriendly and unhelpful. i was told i had either not made the booking or had made it at another branch. i showed them my call log to prove i had called the restaurant, and indeed this particular branch, to which we were told to wait to be seated. they reluctantly seated us, but placed us on a table right by the front door (not in the heart of the restaurant where we wanted to enjoy the vibes and atmosphere). with the door constantly opening and closing, we were cold throughout our visit. despite our waitress (tatiana) being lovely, it was deeply upsetting to know that one of the managers (amy) was rude and racist and i say this because being the only ASIANS in the restaurant, we were mistreated and ignored. we noticed that other customers were greeted with a warm smile and laugh and were asked about allergens etc. the staff here made us feel like a burden and that they had to accommodate for us, when in fact we had made a booking and provided proof of this. the food was very pleasant and would be the only reason we would...

Food was disappointing. All of the family had dry food. Rack of ribs had flavour but literally dry as a bone. Chicken skewers, was just dry chicken on a stick. Roasted vegetables missed depth of flavour, all abit samey and would have been better with a balsamic vinegar and some garlic. Everything needed a sauce or vinegars or gravy. The option of a creamy mash potato, greens and steamed vegetableson the menu would be good, anything to vary textures. Absolutely amazed that no sauces or seasonings were offered to the table. I asked hoping for a drizzle of olive oil, or balsamic vinegar, not even parmesan or black pepper today. Instead I was given 2 small sachets of Helman's mayonnaise. I suppose the advert does say makes everything taste better! After fighting to open the plastic wrappers my husband and I squeezed out about a teaspoon amount. Pathetic, but goodness the food needed it. Desserts and drinks were worth it. Gelatto was as it should be but had no wow factor for presentation. Could all be so much better if little tweaks were made. Maybe I am a fussy Italian, or maybe I was the only Italian in the restaurant today, haha. Can I suggest sending your Chef's to Roma or bring them over to Mamma Mias House, I'll show you all how...

Had the sudden urge to go out and eat, decided to come to pesto, made a booking online which was easy to do. Arriving at the restaurant me and my associates were greeted by the amazing staff which despite it being a busy Friday afternoon knew exactly where to seat us. After being seated, we were given the chance to take a look both the food and drink menus. Once we were finished looking at the menus and placed them down on the table a waiter was at our table and ready to take our order. The three drinks we ordered were at our table within three minutes and our food took around ten to fifteen minutes which is extremely fast given how busy it was. On to the main attraction, the food. Personally, I ordered the lasagne which was served on a hot plate and looked amazing and tasted even better, tucking into this bad boy had my taste buds reaching heights of satisfaction I never knew they could reach causing the 0.7% Italian in me to have a spiritual awakening (shoutout to 23andme). All of this was happening using clean cutlery on clean plates that were on clean tables in a lovely looking restaurant. Overall, Pesto is a top tier restaurant with top tier scran and top tier employees. 10/10

This is a very popular spot just off the A47 towards Desford. Old pub that turned into an Italian restaurant quite a while ago. Huge car park which is needed. Very big dining rooms with loads of space. My server Jennifer was amazing, and all the staff seemed very well trained. Thanks Jennifer. This is a spotlessly clean restaurant. Food wise it is very good indeed in terms if value and quality I must say. Essentially think Italian tapas and you are near the mark. Different menus so you can choose between set menus or pick from the wider choices. Small pizza and plates of pasta. All the other salads and other Italian favourites here. Good range of options for vegans and vegetarians. Quality of food was good and all was very tasty and fresh which is important. This is very much pub Italian as much as a restaurant so liked that atmosphere. A good place for a hearty dinner and a good atmosphere. Booking is wise I would say and the online system worked very well. Food was a 4.5 stars for sure - just went for 4 as a little more touch here and there would probably be what some diners might feel. Thanks very much.

Nice place, and friendly staff, but food below par. Staff were friendly and attentive, it was busy for a Wednesday night, so ordering food and drink took it's time. A table of 5 of us, we all went for the lunch time meals and choose 3 small dishes each. One pasta dish didn't arrive till close to the end of the meal and my pizza had a 6" long hair between the dough and the cheese. Not particularly happy in finding that where it shouldn't be, surely in this day and age all kitchen staff wear hair nets? Pizza was quickly whisked away by an embarrassed staff member and manager dutifully arrived to offer £5 off the meal. Not even close to what I'd expect when food arrives contaminated like this. The fried calamari dish was well made and nicer than expected, however the penne four cheese dish was disappointing, bland and tasteless and very little cheese if any. Lastly the remade pizza came, nice and hot, however the Calabrian sausage was non existent, I think maybe 20g of meat or less on a 6" pizza is not particularly good value for money. Unfortunately, its hard to recommend this restaurant despite trying to like it.
