I was early for an appointment and left home before breakfast. A quick search for food nearby and the Copper Kettle popped up, and based on the ratings I thought I'd give it a try. The folks were really nice and whilst it was a bit chilly in the cafe, I was handed a cup of tea quickly which sorted that out. The food was cooked on order and I have to say that I haven't had a fry up that good in a little while. Pretty much unbeatable for the price too.

I stopped by to get a takeaway breakfast sandwich. I had bacon and egg with mayo. I really enjoyed it. The bacon and the egg both were fried to my liking, the bread was fresh and fluffy.

I AM A TRUCKER AND CALLED IN THIS WELL ESTABLISHED PLACE ON FRIDAY 1 SEPTEMBER ALL I CAN SAY IS FIVE WORDS LOVELY PRESENTATION GREAT QUALITY FOOD I HAD THE FULL BREAKFAST 2 SAUSAGE 2 BACON 2 EGGS 2 ASH BROWNS BLACK PUDDING BEANS AND TOMATOES 2 TOAST AND MUG OF TEA FOR £6.50 AND IT WAS EXCELLENT FELLOW TRUCKER GIVE IT A VISIT YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED 110% TO JOHN THE BOSS AND BRILLIANT...

Does not accept ANY card payments!!!! However, about a mile South, also in a layby is a snack van (marilyn monroe painted on it!) Lovely girl, fast service and she DOES accept card payments and the food is faster and better than the copper kettle ever was!!! God knows why the copper kettle can't be bothered to join the 21st century and get a card machine, head to Marilyns...
