Cinnamon Restaurant — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

We visited a friend and they ordered a takeaway from this Indian restaurant. This was a Saturday night so you would expect the best possible food & service. The mains were sadly warm and we were only a short drive away from the restaurant. My Jalfrezi was not very authentic. It was a disappointingly small portion size, with not much flavour or heat. Not as you would expect from this typically hot dish (I think I found one green chilli). I also tried a friend's butter chicken and it was bland if I am being totally honest, and they also agreed with me. The onion bhajis had 4 in a portion, but were all flat, luke warm and very little flavour. 3 larger bhajis with more flavour would be better. I was very impressed it doesn't look as nice outside as inside ! When inside I was greeted very politely. Tables are nicely spaced apart and the decor is very clean and well presented. It is meticulously clean waiters even picking up bits fallen on the floor on their way back to the kitchens.the starter mixed kebab was very well presented and extremely tasty the main course was served correctly I also noticed that the staff were very conscious of not leaning over diners and moving around the table to present the food. I was really looking forward to going here. Was lovely inside even if it was really cold. However partner asked for a member of staff to recommend a dish....a lamb dish. However when it came out had prawns and chicken and a plate full of onions. He didn't eat it and when asked if was meal was ok he expressed that it wasn't what he asked for. When it came to paying for meal they offered 10% off, which was a little insulting as it wasn't what he asked for and there was no mention of removing this dish from the bill ( oh and the dish that was recommended was the most expensive!!!) .
