Costa — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

Customer service lacking...Showed up at 5:09 pm at the counter and 1/2 the store was closed off...there was nowhere for our group to sit... asked if we could sit on the closed side considering they had almost 2 hours before closing and the lady at the counter gave a "apology" and stated the area was closed and there was nothing she could do... I asked where our group of four was supposed to sit and she just continued to say she was sorry and there's nothing she could do :/ ... The family after us asked if they could sit over there, and the counter lady went to reopen the seating area. The counter lady then passed by our group crowded around tiny tables and tried to avoid eye contact... I asked if the seating area was open now and once again she said oh so sorry.. yeah it's open... really annoying and totally avoidable... if the store doesn't close until 7 then why close 1/2 the...

Staff decided to close off over half of the seats at 5pm when the store doesn't close until 7 because they already cleaned them. This left our group of four and the approximately 10 people behind us without anywhere to sit. We asked why they closed off over 2/3s of the seats when they were open for business and they had customers ordering drinks and they said they didn't want to do the cleaning! Laziest, rudest, worthless workers ever! If the shop is open until 7 the staff should start cleaning when it's empty or at 7:01! I'll never go again and give my buisness to people who deserve to...

I've never seen such incompetence. I ordered 2 creamy coolers and they took my payment, I was handed 2 cups of questionable slush and told 'we've got no cream'

Yet you took my payment knowing I wanted a creamy cooler! I dread to imagine what would happen if you ran out of coffee! Someone orders a large Americano is then handed a cup of hot water?

Also the fudge was missing from my drink! From previous visits to more competent Costa venues I've always delighted in the tiny fudge morsals in the cooler and save these till the end, but no, my day is ruined thanks to your crap customer...
