Long Yuen Court Chinese Restaurant & Take Away. — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

Normally I regard the Long Yuen as really good...both in delivery time and food quality but sadly the takeaway I had on Sunday 12th didn't live up to my expectations. Delivery time was 20mins which led me to think that my food can't have been cooked fresh...this was borne out by the overcooked and therefore mushy Singapore noodles and the soft batter on my chicken balls. The duck was completely overcooked too and was quite tough. I won't turn my back on Long Yuen...I've had too many lovely meals from there so will give them another chance to return to their normal standards but as I don't have takeaways very often they are a real treat and I expect to be served quality food...especially for the price you...

Went last night (I see reviews are all a bit old), not great, bumbling staff, long delays between courses, (waitress actually brought the sweets out that you get with your bill before our mains turned up cos she thought we'd finished), mixed up dishes that staff could not whose was whose. Misinformation when ordering meant we didn't get what we wanted when it actually turned up I heard "sorry" echoing round the place as other diners had issues too. Shame as food was not bad and priced ok, but left feeling it was a waste of an evening and I should have got a takeaway and stayed home. We were here for 3 hours and waited an average of 30-45minutes between courses. The staff were very apologetic yet seemed to be around 16-18 years old and completely inexperienced. One of the dishes was not even hot, fairly cold actually, like it had been standing around for a while. It seemed like the staff were enjoying themselves on their mobile phones too rather than helping some of the other customers, who were also looking fairly disgruntled.
