Rumbles Fish Bar | Godmanchester — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

Well to be honest I've not ordered from here for about three months, and I admit I like the food. Decent for a takeaway. But that's not my gripe...my issue was the other day I got a new takeaway menu through the door even though I got one from a few months ago which I use. Anyhow I fancied a takeaway that evening and the new menu was a welcome reminder to get a rumbles in...now here's the problem, looking at the menu my memory jogged and I said to myself I'm sure my menu from just s few months back was cheaper on most options so I got it out to compare and low and behold most things have gone up by between 20-30%!!!...I'm sorry but that doesn't exactly ratio with the current inflation of currency, and I'm not going to be ripped off by a takeaway they all seem to be pulling this mass increase on pricing and I simply won't order ever again from them. It's a shame because the food is ok. And it's not like the prices will drop they will likely hike them up again in s few months...when will end because the more they do this the more custom they will lose, even the biggest fan of this place will eventually say enough is enough...think smarter rumbles. But you've lost me as a customer and more to follow I suspect with you're over inflated...

Have been holding back as every time I find good local fish and chips the standard drops. Tonight however I just had to share the fish and chips at the Rumbles Fish Bar Godmanchester. Consistently excellent with great service although it can be a wait if you go too early and it gets crowded. Chips are crisp with good flavour and the fish is enormous as standard crispy batter and good flavour too. There are also lots of other options including pies, burgers, nuggets and not forgetting mushy peas. Not quite finished as they also offer a large range of kebabs and they look to be of the same high standard although to date I have not tried one. Always full of regular customers that to me speaks volumes for good food love by all. One warning however standard portions are large, so if you eat like a budgie you may want to think twice or share with a friend. Keep up the good food and...

My sister order a meal for the family and we could here what was said as the phone was on loud speaker. The lady repeated the order. The order was £35. When the food arrive we had chips missing. The lady said the extra chips was spread among the fish meals. Then said we did not order it and it’s not on the order even though she read it back to us. All the food was cold, the fish was rubbery and did not taste right, there was very little chips and they where slimy. I have found that it’s also over priced as well. The lady on the phone also was argumentative and blamed us for the order mishap we asked to speak to manager and was told he was out for delivery and he will call us back. Still no call back. So poor service, poor food and...
