It's been more than 15 years since I've been here & I think it would be never again. Was really looking forward in having a good meal. It seems tidying in side the young lad who served us was ok. We ordered our meals, I ordered Steak pie chips , peas but no gravy, My wife ordered Cheese Burger with Chips and our son ordered Roast of the day which was Roast Beef, veg with Chips. We waited about 10 to 15 mins before our order was called out. But while we waited I was watching the young lass who was doing the cooking or should I say Microwaving. She would get a white plate then open the large stand up fridge and grab a hand full of veg, meat or what ever then put that into the microwave then put the chips into the frier then start and ping the mix. When the young lass was taking food out of the fridge she never wore food gloves at all, food was contaminated which is not good. When I got my meal it was covered in gravy which I did not ask for. She took it back and said to me I'll have to do it again then and I said yes please. My wife's cheese burger was very greasy and the bun was not toasted, she didn't really enjoy it. My son's meal was ok. 5 minutes later I got my meal the chips were ok the steak pie was dry, salty & the pastery was tough and the peas were like bullets, it was just microwaved to death. I would not recommend...
Read moreA real time capsule and gem. No frills. Just good food and service.
Kept in the style of an old 80s truck stop diner, Stibbington Diner has real charm and really good food. You're not going to get gourmet sausages or designer dinners here, but you will get exactly what you want - nice, tasty food and large portions.
With main meals between £10-13 it won't break the bank either.
The diner also has a selection of cakes and pastries if you fancy something sweeter.
Speaking with the friendly staff, you can tell they care about what they cook and serve too, which certainly adds to the local feel of the place.
There is no fuel nor a shop, so you would need to stop at the full services around a mile away from Stibbington Diner, if you require fuel etc. However, if you are driving past (or even if you are just near the area and fancy some homely food) you should certainly swing in.
This diner does not pretend to be anything it's not. What it IS, is a great, simple place that serves great food and has a real charm about it.
Thank you to the staff that serves us two skinny guys on the afternoon of Wednesday 18th!

Read moreI have been going to this cafe a fair few times over a number of years. I believe it is now different people working there as didn't recognise them. It used to be a lovely breakfast and always looked forward to it. But today was not what happened. Prices have risen alot, I don't have beans or tomatoes as I don't like them but had to pay extra to get a hash brown instead. Didn't realise for £8.50 that you don't even get a sausage on your breakfast! When the breakfast came my bacon was still very fatty so asked if it could be well done please and she snatched my plate and wasn't happy. While I sat there someone on a different table got there breakfast and it comes with 2 slices of bread and butter, he asked for it and she said how many he said it comes with 2 each and she said we'll will you eat 2 as people keep wasting it! Well you pay for the bread and butter so if the customer wants to waste it then it's up to them they paid for it with their breakfast! Absolutely shocking it really was, overpriced massively now and full of rude staff. Will...
